  1. I compiled a blocklist.reg of domains with over 8000 bad domains, get the blocklist here http://www.msfn.org/board/index.php?showtopic=65795
  2. Well Photoshop is not really a big problem, that's completly silent with switches if you mod the installer not to show the activation thingy during install. As for AutoIt, I dont really see why people don't want to use it. You can have Illustrator install almost completly silent using AutoIt. Just use the function to hide/minimize windows.
  3. Discontinued, please se revised edition
  4. I ended up using AutoIt on this one...
  5. How can I stop scripts that resize or reposition IE 6 windows without permission? Is it possible without any popup-blocker-app?
  6. Why not just install the 7.05 that's one file? PS. I believe that's a bug that it shows 7.0 still, but again get the latest version
  7. After installing iTunes the "what i'm listening to" function in MSN messenger only shows songs played in iTunes. How can I reset this to show WMP not iTunes?
  8. Thank you! Only it's with Norwegian messages only atm, so don't need to host it if no one wants it Though, its easy to translate if requested.
  9. Ok, Im done for now. It's a pretty simple app, but works well. The app will block over 3500 ActiveX malware, adware and spyware controllers, 600+ coockies and 2300+ known domains for ALL users. Since the only currently available list online is ActiveX bloclist provided by www.spywareguide.com the app only updates the ActiveX part online, the domains and coockies to block are not updated, but includes all the most frequent updates up to this date from several apps like SpywareBlaster and SpyBot. The app will run silently if you'd like to include it on UA media, or with GUI that tells you what's going on if desired, it will also run regardless of you beeing online/offline, but ofc will not update the ActiveX list if offline (will use backuplist from 01/19/06) PM if you would like me to send it to you. It is made with AutoIt.
  10. Well, your kinda right yes, but you could however make windows default not load the processes and services untill you make the choise. This way windows will also boot faster.
  11. Yep, but I want it to be pretty Please keep any ideas comming!
  12. I have made a batch file that I run before gaming, or other heavy tasks like movie editing, music rendering etc. Basicly this batch disables alot of services and ends some current running tasks, and removes background picture. I had an idea, what if some kind of selector could be made to be run before logon, that makes you able to choose performace mode, or normal mode. I'm thinking the design of the xp shutdown dialog with two buttons, Performance & Normal, it appears after logon button is clicked/or logon if auto. Am I way out on this idea, or could it be done and be usefull?
  13. dazzler5000: About your Audigy driver, I also had some problems as this driver had to be installed at T-12 on my computer to work properly. I installed the base driver at cmdlines.txt and the update(s) with my other apps/drivers at runonceEx. Try that and see if it helps
  14. That's just sad
  15. Thanks just what i needed!
  16. Yep, as soon as its finished -Im working on implementing blocked domains and coockies as well, just about 6000 threats will be prevented. You should be pretty secure if you run this at ua setup...
  17. How can I see how many subkeys are under a certain key in the registry? I'd like to see how many domains ive blocked HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Internet Settings\ZoneMap\Domains
  18. What's the advantage your looking for by deleting this, reduce size to have room for more, or speed of install? my lang dir is 99mB.
  19. Unpack the setup exe with WinRAR and just grab the QuickTimeSetup.exe, and there ya go
  20. I agree with Zxian: I think you should first try make a clean UA source that works before adding anything at all. Meaning you follow the UA guide 100% creating a local source, first when you have a perfectly working source, then you can add SP2/hotfixes/apps/drivers etc. This is the only way, or you'll end up having a really hard time figuring out what went wrong. I myself test my DVD almost every time I add an app/driver etc.
  21. I have to agree with you, that was clever.
  22. When i setup apps like QuickTime ( /S /v/qn) there is a setup.log created in the dir where the setup.exe was. Is this file created anywhere when i run the setup from cd/dvd? (where it obviously cant create the file)
  23. Got it! thank you...
  24. I must confess I only used the regtweak above, and not actually removing the file from my admin install source, would you recommend removing the file from source/post-install, even when it is disabled?
