  1. Sure, good luck Try changing the values "Microsoft Windows XP" and "Service Pack 1/2" and reboot, maybe it does the trick, or maybe not
  2. List updated 04.02.06 with some minor updates and additions.
  3. I really have no idea, but maye if you have a look at [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion]
  4. I just ran EasyCleaner after a fresh install and got a list of some files to delete, now im concidering adding those files to my cleanup procedure, but are these files safe to delete? %SystemRoot%\Installer\* %SystemRoot%\pchealth\helpctr\Config\Cache\* %SystemRoot%\REGLOCS.OLD %SystemRoot%\security\logs\scecomp.old %SystemRoot%\System32\CONFIG.TMP I also have alot of SET??.tmp in %systemroot%, could i delete them? (eg SET4C.tmp) Thank you.
  5. Nice list, only there is an error on line 2115. ;Improve Thumbnail Quality [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\ "ThumbnailQuality"=dword:00000064
  6. Yzöwl: Thank you, good idea, should've tested... Now I got some cleanup to do in my regfile!
  7. Can a .reg file contain line breaks between values under a key (as shown below) or do the values need to be listed directly below each other? [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Something] ; Setting 1 "Value1"=dword:00000001 ; Setting 2 "Value2"=dword:00000000
  8. Sounds to me you are talking about an illegal copy of Windows XP... Purchase a legit hologram Windows XP cd, read unattended.msfn.org and then come back to the forum, welcome back.
  9. Well, with his script you can remove the encoder and even the player so you JUST get the codec and nothing else out of the CreateBundle, that's what I do and it works great... So it really doe'snt matter if it is the create bundle, that will just allow you to install more features IF you want to.
  10. Did you search? It's covered already.
  11. s.stormont: Use MHz's script, works flawless for me. It's in the AutoIt script collection topic.
  12. Heh, its on a lappy, how about 1280X1024 that ok? If not just do your best and ill be more than happy (lower res like 1024X768)
  13. LLXX: Thank's for clearing that up
  14. Thanks. As that font seems to be installed fine, I take it that was a false alarm
  15. NOD32 antivirus gave me the output: ..\I386\FRAMD.TT_ »TAR - archive damaged Anyone know what this file is?
  16. Yes, but I'm pretty sure we determined there was a bug in that release hmm just can't recall what the bug was. I'm pretty sure it was the WHERE statement.
  17. Yzöwl: Did'nt we determine that the WHERE statement did not work (bug)?
  18. 1400x1050 is preferably please. Sorry about the delayed reply, just formated my drive to test latest UA.
  19. I'm actually about to reformat my drive now, so please tell me how to do this, and Ill start the "trace" before checking MU for the update.
  20. I would love to show you too hehe, just tell me what to look for? SHould I post the latest entries in windowsupdate.log?
  21. I'm not quite sure how to read windowsupdate.log and the entries in that file does'nt make much sence to me, however I just installed the hotfix from MU with no errors, after the required reboot it does not show up anymore. I find it very strange that only this update shows, and non of the other i have /integrate:path\to\source.
  22. Only I have is the above link :/ Is there anything you can do from that?
  23. What fonts could safely be deleted from the Fonts dir (not needed by system or similar).
  24. druiddk: Thank you for noticing, Indeed it seems harsh to block gamespyarcade.com, I'm not quite sure as of why it is in the list atm. but I will find out why it was added and mofidy the list. Meanwhile to remove gamespyarcade.com from the list if you do not want it to be blocked, please, save the following to *.reg and apply Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00 [-HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Internet Settings\ZoneMap\Domains\gamespyarcade.com] You might also recognize phobos.apple.com as a bit harsh to block, although I personally like to have this one blocked because this will prevent a common P2P annoyance which opens up iTunes at a particular MusicStore. (Very common to happen when using LimeWire)
  25. [HKEY_USERS\S-1-5-21-50320715-296414537-3037964617-12755\Control Panel\Desktop] "SCRNSAVE.EXE"="C:\\WINDOWS\\system32\\ssmypics.scr" Is what sets your screensaver to the desired, but keep in mind this has to be applied when the user has logged in and desktop is fully loaded. (can not be applied at cmdlines.txt or RunOnceEx.
