Well, they really work kinda differently (hostfile and domain blocklist), so it kinda belongs in it's own topic and ultimately its only what you preferre to use that matters.

Ok, well then I'm on my own hehe. A manual "no-plugins" mode for photoshop is explained above, renaming plugins to ~* with batch or similar, will make photoshop boot fast. As for illlustrator moving the following dirs out of Plug-ins folder will give you a "safe-mode" like launch. Illustrator Filters Photoshop Effects Photoshop Filters Photoshop Formats Text Filters Tools Also for both apps reducing number of installed fonts on system will boost the app launch. Thank you for your reply jcarle, though I was thinking more of software wise solutions, like disabling plugins for Photoshop by adding ~ (tilde) to the folders inside Plug-Ins dir, removing fonts etc.

Is there a way to launch photoshop/Illustrator in some sort of safe-mode (not loading plugins/fonts etc) or any tweaks to have it load fast? I would like to automate the registration (legally ofcourse), but that load only needs the app to run, no extras.

The list is now updated with a few new domains and a couple dead removed.
