okay that sounds good. and that sounds like it reboots after the programs are installed..but after the runonceex is run..you need to restart the computer so that it starts installing the applications..so this is when i need a restart can i put that shutdown command in at the end of my runonceex.cmd ?

i was just wondering after that file runs is there away to tell the computer to automaticly reboot?

okay i have started to break down the runonceex.cmd file. I removed cmdow so i could see what it was doing and put a pause in it. It seems that it is telling me the operation is successfull but nothing is running

okay...my windows install is going good..i removed the exit on this file to just see what it was doing and it tells me the operation is unsuccessfull - I used the program RunOnceEX.cmd Creator to help me make this file. okay so far my drivers are installing great for my UA - all except my Audigy 2 sound card. I uncompressed the drivers and then used hlif program to create a folder on my UA for drivers and Audigy. This seemed to work for my printer, motherboard and video card, but for some reason my sound card gets a ! mark. Anyone has similiar problems and how did they solve it.

thanks..have actually got a working UA up to drivers... actually only one driver I have comes up with an escalation mark and that is my Audigy 2..so i will be working on that next - I have set up a partition on my computer to test everytime I try something.... I also feel it is the best way...but I seem to be very lost on trying to get applications installed at this point.

ok. I am not even looking how to do the scripts yet..but at this point I want to know how do i use the scripts designed. my winnt.sif calls up my runonceex.cmd file - do i play a command in there to install autoit? Please some help to start with this program. I would love to use the program to do things eventually with installing my windows. So far I am having diffuculties with application installs....but i will be keep trying...so any help would be great

okay..i am getting closer but for some reason my runonce command doesn't find my software. I probably making a easy mistake. when I do my unattended install my applications are placed on the same drive as windows is installed onto. I have a c drive but that is just a 1 gig fat partition. So the next drive available goes to my test windows. the program I was using was putting %cdrom% but that isn't fully working. i have installed Virtual Pc but it is about 2 hours just to install windows. What I want to know is I have used bts driver pack. How do I know if this is installed correctly as virtual windows windows seems to only use s3 for graphics. also when windows installs it doesn't seem to initialize installing the apps I have setup. A few apps to start with then I will expand.
