I'm interested... but I can't seem to get it to work... How do you go about clearning out all the files that aren't on the original CD? Also... do you just take the files that are on each CD and simply copy them over into your working directory, overwriting any existing files?

The only reason why you can find them for Linksys routers is because the firmware is based on Linux, which lies under the GPL. I don't think that any other manufacturers release the source code for their firmware...

Yup... slipstream SP2 into Office 2003 as per the instructions on the UA site. Then drop EntSetup.exe into the root of the CD (or folder) and run it with the same switches as the regular setup.exe, but with ENFORCECACHE added to the setup.ini file.

I tried using the Modder... but when I start up the computer, I don't get anything on my screen except a vague grey line.

It's not copying... it's imaging. Norton Ghost or Acronis True Image will do this for you.

You can find a really good guide on how to slipstream Office at http://unattended.msfn.org. Look under the Intermediate->Applications->Office->Sliptreaming.

Tried all that... If you read on the Microsoft website, the ENFORCECACHE automatically sets CDCACHE=2 It doesn't work with an administrative install, which is what it seems like you need for slipstreaming. Is there another method to slipstream without creating an administrative install perhaps?

Laptop Wall - Pretty Green Eyes (found at DA) VS - Cyrix for WB (found at WinCustomize) Icons - Mix, mostly Elements icon set We'll see how long this lasts... it's a bit brighter than I'm used to.

Thanks Yzowl, but I don't want to copy over the files. The new directory will contain files that have the same filenames as the old (as well as some extras), but the files themselves are different.

I'm trying to follow this guide. For the very last step, we are told to delete any files that are not in the original directory from the new directory... So... if I have a directory structure as follows: D:\ D:\New D:\New\file1.txt D:\New\file2.txt D:\Old D:\Old\file1.txt I want to delete the file D:\New\file2.txt. That much I can do with the following... FOR /R D:\New %%a IN (*.*) DO IF NOT EXIST D:\Old\%%~nxa DEL %%a the problem I run into is when I have sub directories... imagine we add D:\New\Folder\file3.txt D:\New\Folder\file4.txt D:\Old\Folder\file3.txt I'm not sure how I would go about using the modifiers to get the child directories and filenames. Any help would be appreciated!

Also, the keys are for the Vista Betas, meaning that they probably won't be valid for the release version next year. Anyone who has the Vista Beta is either a registered Beta tester, or has an illegal copy (Beta 1 wasn't a public beta).

Chances are they use the $OEM$ Folders. Have a look at the UA site for more info. You can also keep the installers on your CD if you don't want to have your hard drive filled with installers.

I've been messing around with my Office 2003 install and I've been trying to figure out a way to slipstream the recently released SP2 while still keeping the ability to cache the install files. From the other Office 2003-SP2 thread, evilvoice and prathapml brought the Enterprise Release of Office 2003 Setup.exe to my attention which allows for new properties, ENFORCECACHE and CACHEONLY. I've tried adding ENFORCECACHE to my setup.ini file as the first entry under the [Cache] settings, but I still don't end up with the msocache folder on my drive (I know it's hidden). I also found this guide on slipstreaming SP1 and creating an AIO CD, but when I follow the instructions for SP2, I end up with a ~1.4GB image... I'm wondering... should the separate CDs be in separate folders? or can I simply overwrite the existing files/duplicates (I don't think so, but...). Any ideas?
