Zxian Posted September 27, 2005 Posted September 27, 2005 Slipstreaming is the exact same as for SP1. Just change the file names appropriately and all goes well.Unattended install as well.Dunno about shrinking... I just compress.Tweaks, probably the same. Just guessing though.
Wesmosis Posted September 27, 2005 Author Posted September 27, 2005 thanx Zxian, I hope everything will be like the SP1 without big fussso who is the first one to make The Silent UA Office 2003 SP2 Installer?!
Zxian Posted September 27, 2005 Posted September 27, 2005 Unless someone else is already done compressing an Office2003-SP2 source... me.
Wesmosis Posted September 27, 2005 Author Posted September 27, 2005 good for ya dude! man I jst have no time enough to compress by 7zip and test the ISO, maybe at the weekend, Wish me luck

1boredguy Posted September 27, 2005 Posted September 27, 2005 wow, thanks for the heads up!now i gotta reshrink my office... arrgh!
Zxian Posted September 27, 2005 Posted September 27, 2005 @prathapml - I can't see any notice of new features. I haven't noticed any new ones either from having installed it on my current installation either.
prathapml Posted September 27, 2005 Posted September 27, 2005 If anyone finds Frontpage 2003 SP2 post the link plz.<{POST_SNAPBACK}>FP 2003 makes use of the same file/update as the main office2003 set. In other words, download #1 (the 104 MB file), thats the same SP2 update, to be used for both, the office2k3 CD1 (base) as well as CD2 (FP 2003).
Lucius Snow Posted September 27, 2005 Posted September 27, 2005 Do you think we can keep the same Unattended.MST or do we have to rebuild one for SP2 ?
prathapml Posted September 27, 2005 Posted September 27, 2005 (edited) Thanks Zxian. Lucius Snow, the same MST can be used, no changes needed. Here's the complete SP2 set of downloads. Zxian Posted September 27, 2005 Posted September 27, 2005 Thanks a million prathapml! I was looking for the Project version.
evilvoice Posted September 27, 2005 Posted September 27, 2005 (edited) a couple of things I noticed while trolling the microsoft office admin site...there is a new setup.exe for admin installs that changes the localsource settings...Also...read the whole article and it should be noted that sp2 DOES NOT include the latest Outlook Junk Email Update...you must add this to your slipstream process. Im actually going back to the CD I bought of Office 2003 and creating an admin install point and then slipping the updates (meaning it wont have SP1 on it already) Edited September 27, 2005 by evilvoice
