  1. Hey Guys, I have a Samsung SyncMaster 213T screen which is nearly 22" in size. The nice thing about is, is that I can view a page in a wide mode (just like a widescreen), but also have a lot more vertical real estate (since it's a 4x3 screen) MSFN used to take up the entire width of the page, but now the margins on the left and right are nearly an inch thick. So now, it appears like it would on a smaller 4x3 monitor? Any takers? Thanks for the help.
  2. 10-4. Thanks for the response
  3. Wow! Nothing eh? This must've been a hard one
  4. All has been quiet on the nSane forums (regarding Edge Canary Portable) since I last posted. I fear that I'm losing interest, especially now the rumour is that Google Chrome will use Manifest v3 to restrict the effectiveness of Ad-Blocking software.
  5. Comodo was working last time I used it. The upgrade to v11 seemed to slow it down a bit. Edit: There are three XP stations I currently have on the bench for friends. In each case, I've removed MSE, and just opted for Malwarebytes v1.75 (with current definitions)
  6. Yeah I just checked to make sure my uBlock Origin is turned off - it is for this site.
  7. @erpdude8 Ouch! Sorry that happened to you. As of right now, I'm only installing the IE10 and Flash updates. My security-only updates stop at November 2017, but that will change at the end of the year. I figure when I update to the next Firefox ESR (or whichever browser I move to), I will also install all of the security-only updates since then (except for the Spectre and Meltdown ones from a year ago).
  8. I know this sounds picky, but in Windows 7 and Windows 8x, how do I restore the "proper" Documents icon? By proper, I mean the one that actually shows the Location tab in the Properties menu. I have it as a shortcut, but I want the actual icon on the desktop. Thanks folks EDIT: Basically, I want to open this below as a desktop shortcut - BUT I want to right-click on it and see the "Location" tab in there too. shell:UsersFilesFolder\Documents
  9. New Canary Build for this weekend! https://www.upload.ee/files/9978194/MSEdgePortable_76.0.162.0_Canary.paf.exe.html
  10. Guess what daddy brought home? A new portable Canary build. https://www.upload.ee/files/9960202/MSEdgePortable_76.0.158.0.paf.exe.html https://www.upload.ee/files/9964559/MSEdgePortable_76.0.159.0_Canary.paf.exe.htm
  11. Yeppers. I looked through the flags page, and nothing there. You are supposedly able to disable cache completely either using startup parameters in the command, or by using Developer Tools, but it still seems to cache. Seems it's still Firefox for the win.
  12. Today, a new portable build for v76.0.155.0 https://www.upload.ee/files/9946278/MSEdgePortable_76.0.155.0.paf.exe.html
  13. The Newest Portable Build courtesy of nSane forums. It's version 76.0.154.0 MS Edge Portable (x64) v76.0.154.0 (open with 7-Zip)
  14. I'll have to guide her through it, but thanks Roytam1.
  15. My mom says that since I put on the latest New Moon 27..9.6 on to her Windows XP machine (x86 that is), she has noticed that her home page (set to Google) is now slower. Is there anything I can get her to try? I will have to wait awhile until I can visit again. Cheers!
  16. Is Seamonkey still supported as of this moment? I know it won't be, but I think it still is.
  17. OK so in terms of getting the most out of Chromium-Edge, I need to find some resources. I tried Googling for information but it seems difficult to find. So it appears I need to find some better Edge-related resources. So here's what I need to find: How can I set cache to use RAM only? How can I delay page-loading until the whole page has been downloaded? (akin to the nglayout.initialpaintdelay setting in Gecko) How can I set to tabs below the address bar? There are other things I'll want to attend to, but these are the most immediate changes I want to make. If any one has any leads, chime in.
  18. Appears you saw me over at the MDL forum ...lol. Good to see you
  19. Certainly does. And this way, the portable version gives me a clean way to install Edge. I just extract the program folder in to Program Files and run it manually. It creates a large \users\local folder, but that's it. Easy to remove whenever I want. If anyone comes up with a way to move tabs below the address bar, please let me know. This may be a real possibility should Firefox ESR v68 not be to my liking.
  20. I had thought of taking my old HP xw8200 workstation and converting it to an offline audio editing suite. I could use Windows XP x64 Edition (yes, offline ... I stress that since I've given XP users a jolly hard time in the past). But that means I had better get 'er installed, updated and running. For XP x64 users, you may want to use this page to fetch post-EOL updates from Server 2003. They ran until July 2015. http://wp.xin.at/xp-x64-post-mortem-updates
  21. See Matty Tobin and Moon Marcus refuse to realize that they are serving customers. Customers as such ask the same questions over and over again - they just do. Politely just tell them that we ("we" being you two Moon-Matt, of course) don't support Roytam1 builds, but here's the link to MSFN where you can find out more. See how easy that is??? But alas, there's one big BIG problem with this - it required being "nice". I know that this is something that Moon-Matt have some difficulty with. Just practice. Nice - there you go!
  22. Right, but you have to be able to get Vista updates up until April 2017 first, and then switch to Server 2008 updates. And I wasn't referring to post-EOL updates, just ones made specifically for the OS.
  23. I posted this in the Windows XP section as well - Is it true that update servers are being decommissioned for 2000, XP, and Vista as of July 2019? This might warrant a dedicated topic, no?
