ProxHTTPSProxy and HTTPSProxy in Windows XP for future use
AstroSkipper replied to AstroSkipper's topic in Windows XP
Thanks for your reply! However, the intention of my post was to clarify that the onlyfans.com website can be accessed without problems via ProxHTTPSProxy. The fact that this does not work with 360Chrome is a problem with this browser itself. Furthermore, I personally didn't observe a noticeable slowdown when accessing onlyfans.com via the new version of ProxHTTPSProxy (ProxyMII dated from 13.08.2023) in New Moon 28. And my Windows XP computer is very old and slow. BTW, I also use ProxHTTPSProxy under Windows XP only when necessary.- 922 replies

ProxHTTPSProxy and HTTPSProxy in Windows XP for future use
AstroSkipper replied to AstroSkipper's topic in Windows XP
Hello @Dave-H! I tested again the website onlyfans.com. I found out that the problem to access this site via proxy doesn't seem related to ProxHTTPSProxy but rather to the 360Chrome browser. When accessing this site in the latest releases (I tested the last two ones) of New Moon 28, there is no problem. New Moon 28 works much better with this site than 360Chrome. onlyfans.com loads very quickly natively, and no problems via ProxHTTPSProxy in this browser, either. You no longer have to enter this website under [SSL Pass-Thru]. BTW, it doesn't matter whether you use the latest or the previous version of ProxHTTPSProxy. If you ever have time, you can try this out. Since I don't use this website and don't have an account, maybe you can also try a login via New Moon 28. In my system, the website runs great in New Moon 28, in 360 Chrome unfortunately terribly with long loading times on my old computer. And via ProxHTTPSProxy, it doesn't really run in 360Chrome, strangely enough. Something in the connection check is blocked then. Cheers, AstroSkipper- 922 replies

ProxHTTPSProxy and HTTPSProxy in Windows XP for future use
AstroSkipper replied to AstroSkipper's topic in Windows XP
Hello @Dave-H! I am currently testing this out. It is clear that a more up-to-date version of OpenSSL and Cryptography will almost certainly be accompanied by bug fixes or optimisations. In my tests so far, the proxy works great and fast. I'm already in the process of integrating it into my package. At the moment, however, there is no compelling need to change. ProxyMII as such is of course not as comfortable to use. When you call it up, it is not automatically entered in the system proxy settings of IE. All has to be done manually. The handling of the ProxyMII standalone version is described in detail in the section 8 and following of my main article.- 922 replies

ProxHTTPSProxy and HTTPSProxy in Windows XP for future use
AstroSkipper replied to AstroSkipper's topic in Windows XP
Hello to all interested users of ProxHTTPSProxy and a special hello to @cmalex! I have tested the brand new release of ProxyMII dated from 13.08.2023 for some days. And I am thrilled. It runs like clockwork. I have tested ProxyMII 230813 together with the browsers Internet Explorer 8, New Moon 28, Iceape and 360ChromePortable 13.5.1030 rebuild 7. So far no problems, on the contrary, the proxy is fast and runs great with my old SSE2 processor. FYI, @cmalex updated ProxyMII in terms of OpenSSL from 3.0.5 to 3.1.2 and Cryptography from 3.4.8 to 40.0.2 some days ago. However, this version now requires at least a processor with SSE2 instruction set and higher. More to come soon. In any case, a big thank you to @cmalex!- 922 replies

I do not provide personal data in forums generally. So, you are allowed to ask whatever you want to in terms of the real person behind AstroSkipper. The answer is unfortunately no comment. Anonymity and data protection are valuable commodities, which should be cultivated, especially in this day and age. And the probability that this will change at some point approaches zero according to Cauchy's ε-δ-convergence criterion. Enough proof? And I look something like this: -

User Agent Status - An extension to control the useragent for the currently loaded website In order for our legacy UXP browsers, which are regularly updated by @roytam1 and adapted to the modern web, to function properly with certain pages, the user agent used must be changed more and more frequently. This can be done via about:config or much more conveniently with the help of an extension. My favourite is User Agent Status. Here is a small screenshot: This extension lets you set a new site-specific user agent override (SSUAO) or reset it to its default string. Everything is displayed in the status bar and done by clicking on the corresponding button. There are five different actions when middle-clicking on the status bar icon: Reset the UA (default), Set the UA, Show the current website's SSUAO preference in about:config, Cycle between UA compatibility modes, and Nothing. You can set what action the middle-click does either via the context menu or the preferences manager in about:addons! In the status bar, you can see additionally three icon colours. Blue means no SSUAO, purple means a vendor-provided/default SSUAO, and red means a user-set SSUAO was assigned for the currently loaded web page. Here is the link to User Agent Status where you can find more detailed information: https://addons.palemoon.org/addon/ua-status/ Cheers, AstroSkipper

Actually, it doesn't matter. But if you want to know later where it came from, it makes sense to keep the original name. A Nightmare on Elm Street! -

And for all who would like to import or export stylesheets I recommend to install additionally the extension Stylish-Custom https://addons.palemoon.org/addon/stylish-custom/. It adds further functionality to Stylem or Stylish such as an import/export function. -

As I already mentioned, you have to do this via copy and save the CSS code from the stylesheet site such as https://userstyles.org/styles/180927/disable-css-animations-and-transitions-safely.css. Scroll down to the bottom of this site, click onto "Show code", copy it, create in Stylem an empty stylesheet and insert the copied code. Then save it by giving the original name provided on this site. That's all. BTW, you can create such a stylesheet globally or for a specific website. -

Thanks for the link! Never heard of this driver before. I use the GeForce Release 307.83 WHQL which was actually the last official driver for my NVIDIA GeForce 6200. But we don't want to go into that here, as the whole topic is off-topic. This thread is still about @roytam1's browser releases. -

If GPU-Z shows the GPU Load on Windows 7 but not on Windows XP, it is most probably a driver problem. Additionally, you can try other tools as for example Process Hacker or Process Explorer which can also show the GPU load. If they all fail, it is definitely a driver problem. @we3fan! Maybe, it will comfort you a little, in my Windows XP system the GPU Load is not displayed, either. This is probably due to hardware and drivers. Presumably, there is simply no sensor for measuring the GPU Load. I have a very old graphics card installed there, an NVIDIA GeForce 6200. -

Hello @Reino! Allow the website userstyles.org completely in eMatrix! Then, check if you have done that correctly: For google.com, I use @VistaLover's SSUAO Mozilla/5.0 (%OS_SLICE% rv:65.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/65.0. Here is a proof that it works as already reported: This is the link of the website shown in my screenshot above: https://userstyles.org/styles/180927/disable-css-animations-and-transitions-safely If you still have problems accessing this page in New Moon 28, simply delete the browser cache and reload it! I had the same problem. Lately, this website has really become crappy for UXP browsers, unfortunately. Cheers, AstroSkipper -

The website https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/docs/Web/CSS/animation causes 100% utilisation of my CPU on my old computer. Animations of any kind are now killers of old, underpowered computers. I have already deactivated various animations in different ways in my browsers. Now, I have also installed the extension Stylem and installed the following CSS style via copy and save from userstyles.org: https://userstyles.org/styles/180927/disable-css-animations-and-transitions-safely This actually stops any CSS animation on the site above and brings my processor back to normal. -

Userstyles.org now works in NM 28 and loads the site with a specific style. There is a button Install but clicking onto it doesn't install anything and shows a message I have to install the Chrome extension. However, I use the extension Stylem and thought it works for that site. I can only copy the provided CSS code and create an own file. Or do I something wrong? -

Ok, I have managed it. You must only change the UA for general.useragent.override.google.com and not the one for userstyles.org. Thanks you very much for your help, @VistaLover! -

Setting the UA to Mozilla/5.0 (%OS_SLICE% rv:102.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/102.0 fixes the loading of the main page, but clicking onto any theme or style leads to an empty window as it is the case in Serpent 52. @VistaLover Same effect when creating general.useragent.override.google.com with your UA Mozilla/5.0 (%OS_SLICE% rv:65.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/65.0 . -

That site loads OK here (latest NM28, otherwise fresh profile), with ONLY uBlock Origin 1.16.4.31b2 installed (its default filters, only ) : Perhaps you're blocking too much Google-stuff, and their "app" doesn't like that ... In New Moon 28, I tested it with my main profile and with a fresh one. No chance, and there is no Google-stuff blocked by me. I can see the main page only one or two seconds, and then the error appears. Did you also use the latest release of NM 28 for testing?
