  1. Nice, so its possible to copy over uxtheme.dll without WFP interfering using the example below? $OEM$\$$\System32\UXTheme.dll $OEM$\$$\System32\dllcache\UXTheme.dll
  2. Yep, only the newer CD-RW drives support it though.
  3. That might be due to the fact that a newer hotfix has superceeded an older hotfix with newer file versions, so it gets left out.
  4. December 15th
  5. Yes its bootable. A CD-RW disc is in every way the same as a CD-R, but rewritable I think most people are using CD-Rs for the unattended testing because of the higher capacity it can hold (700/800MB) so they can squeeze all their extras in.
  6. Can't see why not, log and txt files are not crucial to an Operating System's functionality. Some will get recreated depending on what you install/change to the OS at a later time.
  7. Yes, its very much the same (almost). You will need the Win2k SP4 Deployment Tools. I tried it once and it completely messed up with error boxes popping up everywhere. I wasn't sure if it was the IE6SP1 or DirectX 9 install causing it
  8. My drivers directory refuses to be removed too, but I'm not really fussed about it. There doesn't seem to be a limit on how many batch files you can have, or the commands you have in them. But its unusual that another batch is executed when the previous hasn't finished (my Nero installation forced the next batch to execute and killed off my applications batch, strangely enough!). So, when you said half of the apps were installed and none of the hotfixes installed, this is probably because of two setup processes running at the same time from 2 batch files causing a conflict. Next time, put all 5 of your batch files into one. Someone else will have to help you with 1. and 2.
  9. Use CDex or Easy CD-DA Extractor to rip the wave files from the Audio CD, then burn each wave file using Nero, this will be seperated as tracks.
  10. HKCU only applies for the current logged in user, not all accounts
  11. Stay out of my thread, Its my glory now. Go back to your own thread! *blows raspberry*
  12. hmm. XPerties got the exact same error today too. No problems on my Windows 2000 Pro, but I'll find out what's going on. Meanwhile, flush your cache out.
  13. How much did this one set you back?? cost about £96 on overclockers.co.uk
  14. Not sure (haven't got an nvidia card). But I'm thinking it won't unless there's any references in the INF file that will install a service
  15. That's the case I ordered today.
  16. I'll be damned Now I can replace notepad with my favourite editor - Metapad
  17. folders with spaces need to be surrounded with quotation marks: "C:\XPCD (updated thru 08.15.2003)\$OEM$\$1\Applications\ATI_CP\setup.exe" -R Although its recommended you don't use spaces at all for any of your folders, so it will reduce the probability of errors during testing.
  18. tried www.mess.be?
  19. no prompts about digital signatures whatsoever?!
  20. ugly enough to break a mirror. heh it made me think, in 10 years time we'll be calling Windows XP ugly too
  21. Not always, that might have been installed manually after Windows XP was installed. Check your CD, do you have a file called win51ip.SP1 on it?
  22. heheh, tried http://images.google.com ?
  23. the Taskswitcher powertoy is a seperate one and has no relevance to TweakUI. The other powertoy was shown as an example on the site to show how it can be silently installed. There is a link to the powertoys website where you can download your favourite powertoys, with an explanation of what they do.
  24. Parts for it should be arriving in 2-3 days, so I'm looking forward to it! btw, getting a SATA 120gb Seagate Barracuda 7200.7 for £70 is really cheap, you should go for it! (get a motherboard that supports SATA and IDE)
  25. If the file isn't found, then its likely you're not viewing the correct folder containing setup.exe If you're not sure how to switch directories in command prompt, then type out the full path, for e.g.: C:\XPCD\$OEM$\$1\Applications\ATI_CP\setup.exe -R This also works from Start > Run
