  1. Looks like a very nice app! will have to try this sometime
  2. You will have to first delete the existing partition and recreate it to be given the formatting and file system options.
  3. Just remember, its Microsoft's policy never to send patches as an email attachment. This is a security precaution and only asks the user to download the patch from the relevant TechNet or download site on Microsoft's domain.
  4. Most people have preferred Winamp 2 over 3, so I'm guessing Nullsoft's aim is to make Winamp 5 based on Winamp 2, but with Winamp 3's skinning technology.
  5. Welcome to MSFN azhuey!
  6. Sorry haven't had a chance to do any more testing, having got my new PC and then accidently deleting some data which I've been busy recovering. I did try the UXTheme.dll file in the $$ folders but it seems it doesn't work, as webmedic mentioned above. I've also used the CD eject script before starting the batch, but it has no effect whatsoever. It seems a direct copy of UXTheme.dll using COPY and RENAME commands in the batch works best for the time being (at least for me, but not for some people)
  7. Hard to say because my copy isn't installed, so I gave the file sizes of the contents of my original CD instead.
  8. Yes I can confirm this too, enabling Hardware Acceleration will allow the ATI Control Panel to be installed
  9. when its on "No", it won't copy the contents of your $oem$ directories to the relevant directories on the system drive. This might explain why you're getting file not found errors.
  10. Got a screenshot of this happening? From this end, all the sigs in this thread are sticking to the bottom. But I'll probably have to check from a member's view.
  11. is OemPreinstall=Yes in [unattended]?
  12. Put: Hibernation = No under [unattended] in winnt.sif I'm not sure if you can define page file sizes during an unattended setup.
  13. Its in the FAQ on the site
  14. good find, but the source is throwing up 403 Forbidden errors
  15. New Fast Reply, new menu at the top, a warning system (which is for us Admins/Mods). Personal Photo in Profile. 1.2 also seems to be more speedier!
  16. is winnt.sif in the i386 directory on the CD?
  17. Right click on the My computer icon, choose properties, advanced then performance settings and check the "use drop shadows for icon labels on the desktop" option
  18. values in winnt.sif are ok, you need to delete the existing partition and recreate it in order to be prompted for formatting and partition options. No disk space or other partitions is effected in this process.
  19. Happy birthday News Chief! (he won't see this until he's back from holiday on the 28th though )
  20. I remember using that 3 years back, made Win98 a bit more stable. I used it to remove IE's integration with the OS, then installed IE6. It was then kept seperate from the OS.
  21. is... Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00at the top of the reg file?
  22. that's the problem, when you haven't replaced the file in dllcache the file in system32 gets restored to the same version thats in dllcache. dllcache is like a backup storage.
  23. So you don't use .NET Framework 1.1? Anyway, does 1.0 use an MSI file to silently install? If so, go here to find out how to supress the auto-reboot: http://www.MSFN.org/unattended/xp/applicat.../wininstall.htm
  24. I'm wanting to backup my DUMeter stats which has been logging since March 24th, so I can continue where I left off when I've finished building my new PC tomorrow. I've checked in Program Files, Application Data, and in the registry and can't find where its storing the data. Its left me stumped Anyone know?
