Are you using a compressed SFX archive to extract during the batch? If so, give a time gap between the 'extraction' and 'starting the installation' in your batch, because there may be some delays in the extraction. Another reason might be that you have specified a bad path in the SFX in extract to

oooh, that's way beyond what I know about, although that would be really good to have! Getting text-mode setup to ask for a second CD will require some files to be edited that's for sure, and the digital signatures may be a problem.
