  1. CPU-Z is a good small app for specific information such as that. http://fileforum.betanews.com/detail/966149377/1 But for something like detecting the amount of memory on the gfx card, you can use Aida32 or Sandra 2004 (If its a Radeon, look in Display Properties > Settings > Advanced > Adapter) Moved to Software Hangout
  2. That's really no excuse. Moved to Windows XP Forum

    Windows FD

Windows FD is a warez release of an Unattended Windows XP CD bundled with applications. No further discussion of it on MSFN. Thread Closed.
  4. MSFN Addict Once you reach 1300 you'll become MSFN Master
  5. 3 weeks without the internet... that would be a HELL of a lot of catching up for me to do
  6. You can set OemPreinstall as No in winnt.sif if you want to use F6 to install your RAID drivers. Although you'll have to do some workarounds if you want your $OEM$ folder copied over - by using cmdlines.txt
  7. Welcome to MSFN No capitals in topic titles please http://www.msfn.org/board/index.php?showtopic=18408
  8. Enable the Cryptographic Service in Windows XP to install DirectX.

  11. If it halts at T-12, then svcpack.inf is not at fault as its already finished (See http://unattended.msfn.org/xp/timeline.htm) You can see its cmdlines.txt Check that you haven't used pause in any of your batch scripts in combination with cmdow, because a batch is probably paused and minimized by cmdow - hence you can't see it.
  12. Have you given Media Player Classic a go? You can find it on http://www.sourceforge.net It works very nicely with any codec you can throw at it
  13. Yes, you should leave them alone, they are patches for Windows security flaws. Also check Windows Update for any new ones to keep your PC protected when you're online
  14. You need to remove your old IE cumulative updates, you only need the latest one. As they are 'cumulative'. Q824145 is one example of an old cumulative update, so you'll have to re-do your svcpack.inf list.
  15. The modified MSI is available to download on the link I pasted earlier, use that...

  17. If you're talking about putting the copy command directly into RunOnceEx.cmd it should work without a problem, but if you're wanting to put it in one of the registry entries, then it should start with a cmd.exe /c
  18. There's also VMWare Workstation: http://www.vmware.com/products/desktop/ws_features.html You can try both to see which is fastest for you, it varies for many people.
  19. There's a POP3 app for gmail that sits between the gmail server and your email client: http://jaybe.org/info.htm
  20. And the OPK.chm as requested: Download
  21. Welcome to MSFN! You can get a 45 day trial version of VPC from: http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details...&displaylang=en
  22. See "Changes in Answer Files" in ref.chm for a list of changes. They haven't documented [DisableSecurityCenterAlerts], even though they mentioned it in a presentation on the OEM site. This shouldn't be considered the final copy of ref.chm for SP2 while its in RC2 status, so it may be subject to further changes until SP2 goes gold. Download
  23. I found a new update for the core menu system, and have updated it. Has this helped? Also make sure you have Javascript enabled in your browser
  24. Here's my own method, which includes plugin removal to speed up the app: REG ADD %KEY%\005 /VE /D "Adobe Reader 6" /fREG ADD %KEY%\005 /V 1 /D "%CDROM%\apps\AdobeReader6\adobereader6.cmd" /fIF EXIST D:\CDPath.txt set CDROM=D:IF EXIST E:\CDPath.txt set CDROM=E:IF EXIST F:\CDPath.txt set CDROM=F:IF EXIST G:\CDPath.txt set CDROM=G:IF EXIST H:\CDPath.txt set CDROM=H:IF EXIST I:\CDPath.txt set CDROM=I:IF EXIST J:\CDPath.txt set CDROM=J: start /wait %CDROM%\apps\AdobeReader6\AdbeRdr60_enu_basic.exe -p"-s /v\"/qn\"" MD "%systemdrive%\Program Files\Adobe\Acrobat 6.0\Reader\plug_insBAK" MOVE "%systemdrive%\Program Files\Adobe\Acrobat 6.0\Reader\plug_ins\*.*" "%systemdrive%\Program Files\Adobe\Acrobat 6.0\Reader\plug_insBAK"MOVE "%systemdrive%\Program Files\Adobe\Acrobat 6.0\Reader\plug_ins\Annotations" "%systemdrive%\Program Files\Adobe\Acrobat 6.0\Reader\plug_insBAK"MOVE "%systemdrive%\Program Files\Adobe\Acrobat 6.0\Reader\plug_ins\PictureTasks" "%systemdrive%\Program Files\Adobe\Acrobat 6.0\Reader\plug_insBAK"MOVE "%systemdrive%\Program Files\Adobe\Acrobat 6.0\Reader\plug_ins\Printme" "%systemdrive%\Program Files\Adobe\Acrobat 6.0\Reader\plug_insBAK"MOVE "%systemdrive%\Program Files\Adobe\Acrobat 6.0\Reader\plug_insBAK\Search.api" "%systemdrive%\Program Files\Adobe\Acrobat 6.0\Reader\plug_ins"MOVE "%systemdrive%\Program Files\Adobe\Acrobat 6.0\Reader\plug_insBAK\EWH32.api" "%systemdrive%\Program Files\Adobe\Acrobat 6.0\Reader\plug_ins" RD /S /Q "%AllUsersProfile%\Start Menu\Programs\PrintMe Internet Printing"RD /S /Q "%systemroot%\Cache\Adobe Reader 6\"DEL "%AllUsersProfile%\Start Menu\Programs\Adobe Reader 6.0.lnk"DEL "%AllUsersProfile%\Desktop\Adobe Reader 6.0.lnk" EXIT
  25. Hopefully svcpack.inf will stay the same. We won't know for sure until a Pre-SP3 hotfix is released after SP2 is RTW.
