Had no problems trying to do what you did. To test this, I typed from command prompt the following: ECHO Testing, to, see, if, this, works >c:\log.txt And the output in log.txt came out as: Testing, to, see, if, this, works
Hi, We're currently having a problem where the server forces the connection to close after a period of time. (which makes your download cut short) We're looking into it at the moment. For now, a download manager set to retry/resume should work.
The way I do it in svcpack.inf: WMP9MM2.exeKB828026.exe /Q /N /Z /OAs you can see, the WMP9 hotfix is being installed after the installation of the WMP9 OPK.
Since XtremeMaC's Uni host went down, we quickly put up the Dx9 and WMP9MM2 bundle OPKs on MSFN. Links can be found via each app's page on the main site.
You don't need to run a full Windows XP installation to test application installs. All you need is an up & running Windows XP workstation, and use the Command Prompt to test out switches.
If you change ProvideDefault to FullUnattended, you'll find it does change the TimeZone to how you want it. Strange, I know ([Components] is also affected)
Funny you mention it, I installed a replacement fan for my old AMD this morning, and it was causing the floor to vibrate (it's irritating), so I installed SpeedFan to lower the Fan's RPM speed a notch, and that sorted it So maybe you can give that a go, or replace the fan for a quieter version as Jono suggested
The message "Please insert the disk labelled Windows XP Service Pack 1 CD Into Drive A:" is because you haven't got the cd-ident files, such as win51ip.SP1 in the root of the CD. Slipstreaming SP1 to your RTM source should have done that automatically, only you may have forgotten to copy them over for your custom CD.
It's nothing to worry about. The name tim can be fairly common, so someone else who thought he registered on this site as "tim" couldn't figure out his password, only it didn't get emailed to him when he requested a password recovery. It happened to me once on another site!
