That's normal condition if you logoff the user and then you login as admin since ntuser.dat is still which resides in her profile. You have to restart the computer and then rename the folder. Now if you did that and you still couldn't rename it, that's really strange.

Maybe it's something wrong with the user profile. Try to rename the user profile folder and let the user logs on again. If that won't help, I'll try to google for an answer.

Well, I'm afraid full reinstall would be the best solution and I would certainly recommend it.

You might consider downloading an app called "hashtab" which will help you check MD5 Hash, SHA1 Hash and CRC-32. http://www.beeblebrox.org/hashtab/

Maybe I'm noobish regarding Vista codecs, but I've used Codav3.3 codec pack on XP and I continued to use it on Vista. Never had any problems with it.

I recently started with the testing of Eset Smart Security 3.0.128.0, which is currently in Beta stage. Eset Smart Security firewall isn't so good as ZA's one, but it sure is better than Vista's integrated firewall and it's serving it's purpose very well with some few exceptions, after all it is still in Beta.. Is it entirely legal to use Vista games on XP. Just curious?

I suspect that drivers could be the issue here.. Can you remember if you installed any new drivers prior this problem started happening.. Also, I suspect on PSU rather than CPU overheating, since mostly you can even boot into system without system being restarted. Can you post full hardware list of your PC here?

Yes you can. You can use BBPixel script, available at (www.bbpixel.com). It is 20$ a year, with included updates and some extra plug-ins. I haven't found any other way to integrate or merge users from two DB's (joomla<-->IPB)
