  3. timers.js is only 2kb. if we dont have a timer won't the install start automatically? Just use RunOnceEx.cmd if you want that. If you want to save space remove the alt langauges from lang.js (61kb) btw any progress on this kel?
  4. @Technoguy yeah they do need to update the site, its difficult to see the links. To set the skin you just rightclick anywhere on xmplay and the menu pops up, likewise doubleclick on it to switch between mini and normal skin. 5. new version updated top post.
  6. I just read through the FAQ and found some good news. I was concerned the service might expire after 1 year and then ask for a subscription. However it looks like BlueCoat intends to always keep this free, though the reporting feature will be moved to a premium version later on. I love company's like this http://www.k9webprotection.com/faq.html#13
  7. its an interesting idea, i doubt it would happen. people would probably just nlite the ads out or something
  8. thanks sonic im going to just use: REM Start WPI and wait for its end start /w %wpipath%\wpi.hta
  9. well i was going to test 4.3.7b but this looks great. went from 1500kb to 86kb! are themes supported with the lite version? I think WPI.cmd is missing two \'s REM Special registry tweak needed. regedit /s %wpipath%common\wpi.reg REM Undo registry tweak. regedit /s %wpipath%common\undo.reg also can i still use this? do i need mshta? REM Start WPI and wait for its end start /wait %windir%\system32\mshta.exe "%wpipath%\wpi.hta"
  10. thats cool zxian. I personally dont like media libraries, never used it with WMP10. Not sure if you noticed but XMPlay does have a library / extended playlist. heres a screenshot of it with ixmplay skin:
  11. I would agree, ive had bad experiences with cheap power supply's.
  12. XMPlay is the best. Its very small, nothing to install, doesnt touch the registry, skinable, supports probably every audio format with its plugins, and even takes winamp's plugins. The trick is to get a good skin like wamodern or ixmplay because most are not going to like the default one. I have never seen anyone argue winamp is better, probably because most people who use winamp just have not heard about xmplay. I am sure most of them would switch.
  13. i voted other and its me. i avoid anything that will mess up the registry in the first place. i do like CCleaner though
  14. has he tried AOL Webmail? It looks like they actually did a decent job on it.
  15. this thread is obselete j/k i have one drive i keep in the basement at home in case i need to upgrade the BIOS on one of the computers. Pathetic how we sometimes still need to flash by floppy. I probably dig it out once a year.
  16. welcome aboard Bill
  17. well VLC should play everything, but it doesnt always do the best job at it and has a poor gui and options. I use Media Player Classic with FFDshow, Quicktime + Real Alternative, and Conroes Directshow filterpack for all video and then XMPlay for all audio.
  18. cool didnt notice the new version will test in a day or two.
  19. vx922 is more money, and i dont see any difference.
  20. I got the Viewsonic VX924 and love it. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?...N82E16824116355
