hmm just started using v0.7 and I think I was getting the same error message . The folder it extracted the install source to was also read only, which i changed. But I still get this error message even after restarting: Anyone else run into this? Obviously I am using XP. I did not have this issue with 0.6

You need a DVD decoder, try Media Player Classic with FFDshow. BTW image size limits really only apply to those in signatures so you're ok

I got a messy solution but it will work Use a program like DirLister or LS to export a list of the filenames you need to create empty clones of. Use Excel or any spreadsheet and paste "copy nul" or "type nul >"into a cell and fill it down the column the same number of files you are going to need. Then import that list into the next column. Concatenate and then copy paste that into a bat file. For Example: create_empty_files.bat copy nul name1.ext copy nul name2.ext copy nul name3.ext copy nul name4.ext copy nul name5.ext

Well I havent been using Winpooch or any firewall lately, just careful about what I install. I tried the new 0.6 version about a month ago and it worked fine - I used the zip binary though. As for defeating Winpooch as a firewall I understand its not difficult. I ran some programs that used launchers or dll injection i think back when I first posted this topic and they got through. I regret I do not know if that only works with admin access.

With that said for your specific needs I would recommend one program: Media Player Classic. Then just install Real Alternative (why not?) and FFDshow.

one easy fast way i know about is to use DVDShrink. Simply use Re-author mode drag the title which contains the scene you want, right-click Set Start/End Frames and then Backup (export vob file).
