  1. Hmm I did not know this was free/open source More people might try it is they knew that. http://sourceforge.net/project/showfiles.php?group_id=37015 I extracted the installer using UniExtract, and copied all the files from the OFFLINE folder (Search *.*) and ran Eraser.exe without any problems.
  2. what exactly do you mean by "shell"? Do you mean Themes, Visual Styles, or the actual shell as in an explorer.exe replacement? Have a look through the list here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Desktop_shell_replacement Also know that what is the "best" is subjective.
  3. I think you are referring to NeroNet http://www.nero.com/nero6/eng/NeroNET.html http://www.nero.com/nero6/eng/neronet-prog.html
  4. I did not use AutoPatcher but this is horrible news. MS is really losing touch with its customers interests.
  5. NEW! Synthesia 0.6.2 Is Here!
  6. are your music albums in seperate folders or are all the files in the same folder? Tag&Rename has a 'Get Album Titles from Freedb' which uses the DiscID even if there are no other tags. Another program you can try is 'Abander TagControl' it's good at doing multiple albums.
  7. you are not going to see anything if the monitor is unplugged or your video card is dead, can you try replacing the video card and cable? also if the bios is working you should see the lights flash on your keyboard. another possibility is the processor is bad, then the system wont post at all.
  8. i just gotta find someone with a Wii so i can "borrow" a Wiimote
  9. So it powers on but you dont see anything... Have you checked the video card and cables, tried reseting the bios cmos, do the hard drives spin up, can you tell if the os is loading (startup sound), etc?
  10. I have a lot of cd's that do not contain any information on them and have to add the info myself. I am not sure exactly what you are trying to do though Jeremy, Tag&Rename can get information from the tags and rename the file(s) from that. Just click on the 'Rename Files' tab and for file name mask use %1 - %3 - %6 - %2 which will give you <Artist> - <Album> - <Track #> - <Title>.mp3
  11. I use a Wiimote with GlovePIE http://carl.kenner.googlepages.com/glovepie http://digitalretrograde.com/projects/wiim/ http://www.wiili.org/index.php/WiinRemote http://onakasuita.org/wii/index-e.html jk I only use a mouse, the Logitech MX518.
  12. i downloaded the latest Norton IS 2007 from the Symantec website and it bombs in vmware for xp but not for vista. http://liveupdate.symantec.com/upgrade/NIS071040.exe Norton IS 2008 Beta installs fine on XP though ftp://ftp.symantec.com/misc/sabu/nis_beta/NIS08TD.exe
  13. cool utility nmX.Memnoch btw the 'net user' command can be used to specify logon times for user accounts, but it does not support 'sessions'. http://www.microsoft.com/resources/documen...r.mspx?mfr=true http://support.microsoft.com/kb/251394
  14. one program i know of is Child Control, it is not free but it has 'Program Limits' http://www.salfeld.com/software/childcontrol/overview.html I'll look for more.
  15. http://www.nvidia.com/object/winxp_2k_163.44.html http://us.download.nvidia.com/Windows/163....nglish_beta.exe Finally we were originally promised these in June/July
  16. http://www.ccleaner.com/ccleaner-20 If you like CCleaner you're going to like this new version
  17. try disabling the onboard audio from the bios menu, also what drivers did you install: from a cd or the latest from the manufacturers website? http://www.download.com/CMI8738-WDM-Driver...&tag=button
  18. i know that, I was wondering if you had followed the link and downloaded the update from that page?
  19. I'll troll, why are you trying to install Norton AntiVirus 2007? Back to being helpful, it sounds like this problem only happens on Vista, is that your case too? http://www.symantec.com/2007LCV1/
  20. yeah that happened a while ago. Microsoft Acquires Winternals (July 17, 2006) http://www.microsoft.com/systemcenter/winternals.mspx
  21. Don't use RegMon anymore use Process Monitor, it is its successor and it has some important new features such as non-destructive filtering. What you could do is filter every process except the application you want and then filter or highlight further by 'Result', such as only *changes* to the registry and ignore *reads*. http://www.microsoft.com/technet/sysintern...essmonitor.mspx The advantage is it is real time, however you need to create the registry file yourself.
  22. very nice, all i saw was a batch script that would create a list of filenames to import
  23. You could mass import them into Ant Movie Catalog and then sort by bitrate. Not a simple solution but it would work. http://www.antp.be/software/moviecatalog/
  24. NOD32 http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/NOD32 http://www.eset.com/
  25. I read this a while ago, seems the only thing preventing DirectX 10 from working on XP was Virtualized Memory, which is no longer required. http://www.theinquirer.net/default.aspx?article=40913 Is this claim true? If so, this feature alone does not justify the upgrade to Vista imo.
