  1. Use Universal Extractor to unpack installers, that way you dont need to install programs to begin with to get the files. It also gives a clue about where files are being copied during an install. http://www.msfn.org/board/index.php?showtopic=62418

  5. Get Window Clippings and let it run in the tray. Press 'PrtScn' and double click on a window and it will automatically save a PNG of just that window. That will save you from copying, pasting, cropping, and saving. It will also clear the window background and if your using Vista supports Aero. The freeware version will work: http://www.windowclippings.com
  6. Gigabyte 8600 GT @ Default (600MHz), FSB @ 220MHz = 4301 3DMarks (06) http://service.futuremark.com/orb/resultan...amp;UID=9717463

  9. When you say "Im working on the Recode component, but so far i got an error at the end of the process when testing it" what do you mean by at the end of the process? It fails to create the msi or Recode fails to run after installing? Nero comes as an MSI so you should be able to view it using Orca and see the Recode settings.

  14. Voted Other: Samsung Been using Seagate for years, got my first Samsung recently and its much better in terms of seek noise and was cheaper. Seagate still has the best warranty though and has proven itself reliable.
  15. If your making a tutorial of a desktop, try turning off the wallpaper, or any pictures that may be in the video.
  16. hmm I used it in the past to recover files off of flash memory guess it does not support optical drives. Try CDCheck, fully functional trial for 30 days. http://www.kvipu.com/CDCheck/
  17. I used the Firefox 3 alpha a while ago, had problems and used Firefox 2 for much of the 12 months, back on Firefox 3 alphas now.
  18. Kingston comes to mind for terrible support, you really have to fight them and wait along time before getting any help. Asus is poor imo, their website is a mess, you have to wait 5 or more minutes to get someone on the phone, their support staff do not seem to care, but their rma department is painless. Shuttle support has been somewhat good in my experience, no wait time on phone, the people seemed knowledgeable, helpful and friendly. However ideally I would not need to get support at all.
  19. surprised no one mentioned this one yet http://www.portablefreeware.com/
