  1. I noticed you are burning at 24x, using multisession, a Samsung SH-S182F IDE burner, there is some "invalid ATIP data", SPTI I/O, NeroError(-1135). http://www.google.com/search?q="NeroError(-1135)" Try updating your drives firmware: http://www.samsung.com/me/products/optical..._w/sh_s182f.asp Download 'Nero DiscSpeed' (freeware), open the 'Disc Info' tab, goto 'File>Capture to file' and upload the screenshot. http://www.cdspeed2000.com/download.html
  2. nice update thanks for the news
  3. Farstone Virtual Drive Pro is just a drive emulator like Daemon Tools or Slysoft Game Jackal. By "virtual dvds" I think you mean you have made image files of the original media, which can be mounted in a virtual drive. You cpu is probably has HyperThreading or multiple cores, you can check with cpu-z (freeware): http://www.cpuid.com/cpuz.php
  4. First can you try burning with ImgBurn (freeware) to see if this is a problem with Nero. http://www.imgburn.com/ Have you modified your drives firmware? Is the media compatible with your drive? Are you using new discs?
  5. What version of Windows are you running and can you give us an example of a program with this problem. Sounds like you are trying to run a program with NT dependencies on 9x.
  6. Try ImgBurn, its free and has alot of features. How to burn an Audio CD from music files using ImgBurn, Supported files include Ape, Flac, Ogg, MP3, Wav and Wma http://forum.imgburn.com/index.php?showtopic=5555
  7. MillenX I did not forget about your post, I was AFK for most of the last month, but follow Clubertis advice and we might be able to help you.
  8. Well the 3 most popular Web Browsers are: Internet Explorer 7 Mozilla Firefox Opera What do you mean in terms of "downloading" and "overall performance" though?

  12. hmm I never heard of a dump file being created without a crash, could you upload it somewhere anyway? try mihd.net also run a memtest and scan your computer for viruses and malware.
  13. Please check if you have dump files in "C:\WINDOWS\Minidump" and upload an example here for analysis. BSOD are usually due to driver faults, and I remember having issues with XP MCE and drivers.

  15. Lemme see if I understand you: you are looking for help with downloading media content from websites such as videos, music, pictures and using a single media player for all of them? The first problem I usually get around by using the 'View Page Info' feature in Firefox and downloading the content from the Media tab. http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/ http://portableapps.com/apps/internet/firefox_portable Secondly I use Media Player Classic with FFDShow (both are free) for playing all my different music and video formats. http://sourceforge.net/project/showfiles.php?group_id=205650 http://sourceforge.net/project/showfiles.php?group_id=173941
  16. TY for the news Cluberti, I was surprised to see this from MS so suddenly! Competition is good. :-)
  17. GAIM is now Pidgin which supports Jabber (XMPP) protocol http://www.pidgin.im/
  18. Interesting read, glad you were able to recover your data. BTW I usually recommend Recuva for freeware and R-Studio for shareware. For cases where the drive is at fault and not the user, for example bad sectors, I think SpinRite is appropriate but I haven't tried it. Another thing one can do is modify the NTFS permissions on shared folders to set a 'deny delete permission' for user groups, you would still be able to create and modify but not delete its contents. I think we still need more emphasis on backing up important data in the first place so recovery is required less often.
  19. Topics merged. Although you don't want to "upgrade" that specific feature has been added in Vistas Explorer File Manager and is called "Stacks". You may want to check out xplorer2 it supports "scrap containers" and "extended file information" http://www.zabkat.com/ As for editing the metadata here are some free apps I found, but have not tried (yet): http://www.tilti.com/new/en/index.php?id=2_metachanger http://www.sno.phy.queensu.ca/~phil/exiftool/ http://freeweb.siol.net/hrastni3/foto/exif/exiftoolgui.htm http://www.exiv2.org/ http://meta-extractor.sourceforge.net/ http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details...;displaylang=en

  22. I will have to check but I think I was able to disable all of the update checks by opening Adobe Bridge, going to Help>Update, and unchecking all the Adobe Apps. This may be wrong but I will check asap.
  23. TY for the news it's a maintenance release with really no new features; hopefully Sun will progress its development :-)
  24. I don't think so, despite having the same filename the hash values are different and a few of the internal files have different modified dates. Original Release Yesterdays Release:
