  1. The easiest way to get Quicktime to work in any directshow media player, such as Windows Media Player, is to install 'Quicktime Alternative'.

  3. Of course observe your countries copyright laws Here are some other free apps for copying dvds: http://www.dvd43.com/ http://www.dvdfab.com/free.htm http://www.planetdvb.net/staxrip http://dvd-rb.dvd2go.org/index.php
  4. I started using them about a week ago, haven't noticed anything different.
  5. can you give us an example of what you are trying to accomplish?
  6. Check "Add or Remove Programs" for "Adobe Flash Player ActiveX" or similar and uninstall. Also you can check your IE Addons and delete the Adobe Shockwave Flash Object if present. Do you have more information on the error message you get when you try to download or install Flash ActiveX 9?
  7. You can burn Audio CD's for free with InfraRecorder or ImgBurn. http://infrarecorder.sourceforge.net/ http://www.imgburn.com/ When you say no music what do you mean? Have you put the disc back in the pc and checked to see if there are files on it? You said you ripped a cd to your pc, and then burned it, but HOW did you burn it? To play in a regular audio cd player you need to specifically burn a audio cd.
  8. So far: Then for example you could:
  9. First what version of the Windows OS are you trying to install nLite/.NET/IE onto? The "Alternative, unofficial runtimes for nLite":"Framework Lite 2.0 R3 | 6.9 MB" (nLruntimeR3.exe) was just pulled recently: http://www.msfn.org/board/Missing-nLruntim...nLruntimeR3.exe You might want to try the repack on RyanVM's site http://www.ryanvm.net/msfn/
  10. Welcome to MSFN eXoRt It sounds to me like you want to rename files within a zip archive, not create new zip archives. I know this can be done by batch extracting/renaming/archiving but there may be a more direct solution.
  11. topics merged. http://download.adobe.com/pub/adobe/photos..._CS2_tryout.zip http://ftp.adobe.com/pub/adobe/photoshop/w..._CS2_tryout.zip ftp://ftp.adobe.com/pub/adobe/photoshop/w..._CS2_tryout.zip You can also search for "Photoshop_CS2_tryout.zip" on Google... BTW you can probably edit out the memory requirement from the installer for CS3, I will try this myself and let you know.
  12. Welcome to MSFN Try CCleaner or nCleaner, both are free too. http://www.ccleaner.com/ http://www.nkprods.com/ncleaner/
  13. Nuwar is the Storm Worm which uses a system driver to inject code into all PE (exe, dll, scr, ocx, sys) files on the computer, of course it can call for additional malware to be download, so it normal for almost every file to become infected on the pc through one worm. Consider yourself lucky if you notice this because some malware such as a rootkit will get below your AV and it will look like nothing is infected. Once your compromised, all bets are off. In order to be sure your rootkit/hypervisor/bootcode free you need to at least scan the disk offline, or better yet just reformat.
  14. you can actually get it from nitro322's website http://uniextract.c1pher.com/
  15. try Mp3tag http://www.mp3tag.de/en/ or The GodFather http://users.forthnet.gr/the/jtclipper/index.html
  16. Glad the problem went away and thank you for letting us know that. In the future I'd recommend you include more information up front, like what version of office you were using, if you installed any software the time the problem appeared, and the name of the updates you apply. BTW Welcome to MSFN
  17. moving this to the hardware forum since imo most issues with a 64bit OS have to deal with hardware support (drivers)...
  18. You probably need to repair the program association for urls. Open 'Control Panel', open 'Folder Options', goto 'File Types', check 'Extensions' (NONE) | 'File Types' URL:HyperText Transfer Protocol and see what it is set to open with. You can repair this association from withing your web browser. From Firefox open 'Tools', Options, goto 'Main' tab, 'System Defaults' select 'Check Now'. For Internet Explorer open Internet Options, goto the Programs tab, check if Internet Explorer is the default web browser.
  19. you need to do a full sector scan of the disk to discover files and folders since the file allocation table is destroyed. Try Recuva (freeware), which in the latest build added "Deep Scan" (Options>Advanced) support for recovering files from formatted drives. http://www.recuva.com/ If that does not work try R-Studio, its not free but it hasnt failed me yet. http://www.r-studio.com/
  20. Well Adobe does update their Flash and Shockwave players frequently so this is a convenience for most people. "Anonymous" probably means 'information that cannot be used to identify you" but would include information such as your ip address, software version, and recently viewed websites. http://sdc.shockwave.com/shockwave/productinfo/privacy/ I agree it would be nice though if this feature were exposed during the install process.
  21. cheers IcemanND
  22. I am not sure if I understand your english there, but it sounds like a request for a "crack" which would violate the forum rules, particularly #1 http://www.msfn.org/board/Forum-Rules-Upda...ead-t18408.html Just FYI...
  23. Well Windows 98 does not support 48-bit LBA, meaning it cannot see drives larger then 137GB. http://www.48bitlba.com/ Are you saying that if you disconnect your SATA drive, then WIN98 boots completely? And you can boot into Safe Mode? keyboard4.sys might be some sort of keylogger/virus; can you run an antivirus from xp and scan your win98 partition offline? AVG Free is a good start: http://free.grisoft.com/ww.download?prd=afe
  24. thanks for informing us caber, glad we figured it out!
  25. FYI Converters/Editors/Viewers http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_PDF_software I prefer Foxit (Reader and Editor) or NitroPDF
