I have to give you a no as well. 6.0 doesn't send messages, I can receive them though. 6.1 installs but I get a runtime error as well.

Glad to hear you have Framework 4.0 working! I've had it working for a little while now and I'm extremely grateful to tomasz86 for that. I had a few programs that required 4.0 and I couldn't run them at all until he managed to get framework ported over. I have to say, I absolutely love how he managed to have every single package rolled into one install, it sure saves a ton of time.

It's getting offtopic just a little bit, but since you bring up CRT, I just have to mention it....what ever happened to this kind of technology? They come out with all this stuff that is suppose to be 'better', but what about the people who still prefer stuff like this? I actually like LCDs myself, but I personally prefer the standard 4:3 as opposed to 16:9/16:10. I do have a CRT downstairs on my work computer and to me, it's still a great piece of hardware. I run it at 800x600 purposely too. XD I know most websites want at least 1024x768, but I always used to use that resolution so I'm doing it for good old times.

I've personally never liked the alternatives to cleartype for Windows 2000. I've tried them out and it's just not up to my standards. I find I'd rather just use standard font smoothing myself. Except I'm one that hates how all LCD makers want you to have your resolution cranked up to the max, I really don't like that because it does make things harder to read, even with cleartype. For my 20" widescreen, I forced it to use 1280x800, everything is easy to read so I don't even need cleartype.

Crud, my cleanup program deleted it again. I keep forgetting when I install Windows and that program again to make sure it doesn't delete windows log files. But I have another computer that can use the update so I'll go ahead and update it and then get the log file from that one!

Why was MSFN down yesterday and why is it still slow?
Tommy replied to MagicAndre1981's topic in Site & Forum Issues
That's exactly the same screen I've been receiving as well. But it wasn't just yesterday, it's been happening for at least 2 weeks now but yesterday it was out for the longest. -

I've had SQL Server issues all day here. Why does it randomly go out like that? -
I can vouch that the newest Net Framework works well!

I'm an AVG 9 user. It's still being updated on a daily basis and works great! If you want to go with AVG, this one is still being updated. I'm currently trying to get newer versions to work with little success as it seem they rely on drivers now.

One little problem I've seen, very minor though, in the status bar, it appears there is Japanese language rather than English. Other than that, things still seem to be working out. I wiped my system a lot sooner than I realized since my last install wasn't too good anymore. Edit: It's related to IE6 somehow. I got a prompt when downloading album information in wmp11 and it was in crazy lettering. I recognized the prompt though, asking if I was sure I wanted to do this as others might be able to see what I'm doing.

Glad to hear it! I'm wiping my main system within the next day or two and I'll be testing it out on a nice, clean environment!
-
Does this have the latest blackwingcat kernel and stuff your last daily update had in it?
-
I'll go ahead and test that too! Suggestion, unless you already did it, maybe you should add the Google Drive and SkyDrive links on your archive page alongside the DropBox archive link?

I'm on it!!

I use Google Talk to talk to my fiancee at times, but unless you install a plugin and I think use the web application, you can't make video calls. But if you're doing just voice, I love Gtalk much better than Skype. Skype is just bulky and I don't appreciate how they fill them with ads now.

I can't answer your first question but HERE is where you can find the framework installers, it should be under Unofficial SP5. @Tomasz: That might be a good idea. But at the very least, they should send you an email saying so rather than just closing it down.
-
I would shoot DropBox an email if you can and have time and see what's going on, me thinks there could be a problem only because you have what they might consider copyrighted material on there. I've been trying out the the latest daily UURollup, no problems so far!

http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ee825488(v=cs.20).aspx That might help you out some. Check out the filenames and what they have as a language code at the end. For example, ENU is English United States. Look on the table for your language code and then look for the extension at the ends of the filenames. As for there being lots on there, he basically keeps most of his releases on his archive, generally you want to go for the latest one which he does date. The later ones will be farther down the line. The first section is the Kernel Extension and the second section is the Kernel Core (which I think is at about release 11 or so by now) and Kernel Extension is 22v6 or 2.2v6) I haven't checked it in a while so you might have to look but those are at least ballparked figures. Hope that helps

Did Dropbox send you an email? According to them, if your account goes over the limit, then they'll send you an email. I'd check to see if they sent anything. For your account, I can't see how it could be going over the 20GBs a day limit.

I just checked it out and I got that same message again, so I'm thinking it's probably a DropBox glitch. And of course SkyDrive would require Windows NT 6.x to run, it's run by Microsoft, of course they'd require you to upgrade your operating system to their latest. Hope everything is going well with you personally, tomasz, we all miss you around here. Edit: Now there's a different error! "Error Something went wrong. Don't worry, your files are still safe and the Dropboxers have been notified. Check out our Help Center and forums for help, or head back to home." It HAS to be a Dropbox glitch.

It's working now, so no need to worry Edit: However, it seems all the last modified dates are messed up saying everything was modified only 9 hours ago. D:

That's really the biggest one from what I can see. I only do a couple things with my machine and that's to come here, then I go to Zelda Universe forums and a Who Wants to be a Millionaire forum, then I get me email through Outlook which I really don't get much except from my fiancee. That's about the only things I use my computer for online except for the occasional looking up stuff. No more Facebook for me. Even when I did use Facebook, I barely did anything on it except post the very rare status update or browse a few friends profiles.
-
I get this too. I'm not quite sure why this might be happening. It might just be a glitch in the system or something is wrong. But I can tell you I'm getting the error too.

I got into a little debate with someone on another forum, and so now I need to ask this. This goes out basically to the Windows 2000 updaters. Just how safe and secure is Windows 2000? Say you have the latest malware and antivirus definitions installed, a firewall, and the unofficial updates along with even the kernel extensions. Is Windows 2000 just as or nearly as safe and secure as say Windows 7 or Windows 8 is? This particular member said even with these things installed, my system is still open to attacks and all that fun stuff. But I'm basically as up to date as I can be with the unofficial updates available on this forum and I basically only do very limited things on my computer. Input is certainly appreciated.

Seems to work great! Haven't run into any problems yet!
