    XPize 4 MCE BETA 1

@Emulio No changes in icons, there are other shell pack for that. @Martijn It's OK as long as you put a link to my site and you did. @Dutchdre: The add and remove components is difficult to implement with the way XPize is currently coded. Anyway, XPize is a "install and forget" app @DJ-Marcuzz Have you 16 bit color configuration for your screen? @all about the logon still thinking about it
  2. @Dynaletik: XPize Settings doesnt touch that setting, but in next beta it will be dramatically improved and maybe that option is added. More info here: http://www.winguides.com/registry/display.php/966/ @glent: those icons is clean manager can be only in 16 colors
  3. Maybe you want to know: "Vista" has been chosen to form "WinVi", and "VI" is 6, so Windows Vista (NT 6)
  4. Saltcellar or saltshaker The logo has to be a little bit improved. Everything is still on beta stage. I will renew all the promote images. All of your buttons examples are welcome also
  5. It's final Windows Vista Announcement (Requires WMP) EDIT: It has Homepage!! Windows Vista Homepage EDIT 2: BETA 1 available on 3rd August

    XPize website

Thank you all guys for your comments
  7. I like Windows Vista. I think it comes form the Spanish word, meaning "view" or "sight". I think MS chose that name because Longhorn will appeal to the sight sense. I will defend this name
  8. nLite and test test test
  9. Feliz cumpleaños RyanVM Happy birthday
  10. yup i can confirm that.. i too have the same problem..using windows xp build 2600 with sp2 english.. when u right click on a button and u get a popup menu saying what's this? when u click on it .. it will give a error that winhelp32.exe is corrupt..replacing that file with the original file in the windows directory fixes the problem.. so i think there is something wrong with the winhlp32.exe fle in the xpize build.. I have help removed with nLite, so I cant reproduce the error. If in the next Beta the problem persists, I will remove that file from the installer.

XPize_Logon.exe You can try replacing your logonui.exe with this file (after renaming of course), but I never tried it. Maybe in the Unattended sub-forums someone may help.

If you say "integrate" I understand that you are using uAE, am I right? I've said 100000 times tha uAE does not include extras. Also you have the F.A.Q. where it is stated. http://www.msfn.org/board/index.php?showtopic=46237

it only appears after installing XPize? Did you use an nLited ISO? EDIT: these are lost images, not replaced images, so it is impossible XPize has removed them. Or at least thats what i think.

    XPize 4 MCE BETA 1

@Romey: Not sure about the logons. For now, I'm concentrated in fixing the other bugs. Extras can wait @boenki: Never had the bmp issue. If someone else has experienced that, please report. About the text of the installer, thats no problem. @Godzilla: It is not a bug, but I will try to fix that, so only "icon view" shows big icons. @some_guy: about the icon spacing. Arrange icons by name (for example) This will rearrange your icons with their default spacing. about the user accounts, I not having that problem (XP Pro English). Someone else having that problem? To be honest I think this is not XPize problem. @Mick: Thanks for reporting. This is another example of poor color support in Windows. Gonna look for the icons and leave the originals there. @Avneet: Who said that? Next release will take sometime. There is still much to test.

    xpize integration

This is the screen where you select your original I386 dir to be patched. Select a proper i386 dir, click next and then select the destination dir (desktop by default).

    xpize integration

Download XPize uAE, run the installer and select "I386 Patching". Select Desktop as the destination folder (default). Then copy all the files you want to your I386 dir, including those you have modified yourself.
  21. yep, thats it. Gonna check it though. Thanks Injecter.

    shell32.dll

Why you want those files XPized? the tree? I've never see those icons in normal use of Windows, so I decided not to touch them in order to save space. Let me know your reasons please. Thanks
