@dwit: XPize does not change boot screen in any way. @matt5108: But fisrt, what dont you like in the current one? Maybe SyMoNsAyS, the author of the logon, wants to know in order to fix his logon, instead of switching to another one.
-
Well, you know what I mean....
-
let's make it simpler. I really like what flyakite did in his OSX. So, a blue background (no gradient, no images) with a windows logo in the middle (maybe white, if color support does not let a good looking flag)
-
@ Maleko: I've tried to completelly XPized admin tools, but 16 colors and fake purple backgrounds were killing me. No worth doing, believe me. I will try to XPize NET Framework wizard. Tried before, but something was going wrong, dont remember exactly what right now. Have you installed 3rd party bluetooth software? files? location? It would be great if you can find all info needed for me to XPize it.
-
@smartie91: I've fixed it but will be available for beta 2 (or final) I cannot release a new version everytime a single bug is fixed right? @yergling: Good find man, but not sure to apply it to XPize. Anyway many users will see your find as interesting. Thanks. @Romey: I'm going to talk with the creator of the logon about your request. flupke: nice, but how can this be implemented in XPize. I dont really want many 3rd party apps running in the background just to make some icons look nicer. Thanks anyway.

Can you please explain yourself better? does exist a better bit depth that 32-bit with alpha channel? EDIT: oh, you're referring to the battery icons for example, arent you?
-
My idea was a blue background with the Windows logo in the middle (maybe white), with or without progress bar. Someone?

Users boot screens will be welcome. Offtopic: sorry for the spelling, my keyboard is dying.
-
@Ðrзω™: Yep, same problem for me. Working on it EDIT: Fixed
-
Use the i386 patching feature and select desktop as destination folder. Then you can see what files have been patched. textsetup.sif is not touched at all by xpize.

@matt5108: I've replaced some icons in outlook express, but many of them only support 16 color format (this is the classic problem for a full XPized Windows). Most of new resources appear in the address book. I've been thinkng about a boot screen all this time, but the color palette is so limited that it is not worth making. We will see. @Aaron_: Ok, i will update it. And welcome to MSFN

None of them are integrated, only i386 files.

Ok guys, Beta 1 ready. Things to have into account: 1) Download only if you're going to contribute to the bughunting. Don't waste our bandwidth. 2) XPize Settings needs .NET Framework to run. Download it here 3) Please be informative when reporting bugs / suggestions (Windows version, language, file, resource, etc...) 4) I will release a Luna (wizards images and custom visual style)) version and a lite version (no 128x128 icons) when all bugs are fixed. 5) Uninstal previous version of XPize before installing this one.l ***USAGE: Post-install ; Silent (/S) ; I386 integration ; nLite*** Silent switch: /S (this switch is case sensitive) Example: ECHO. ECHO Installing XPize uAE ECHO Please wait... start /wait %systemdrive%\Install\XPize\XPize.exe /S You can also create an XPized Windows CD using the I386 Patching Feature, which also has silent switches support. Example: xpize.exe /S /mode=i386 /source=C:\XPCD\I386 /dest=C:\Users\XPero\Desktop or (in the case that the path has spaces, you need to surround the switch with " ") xpize.exe /S /mode=i386 /source=C:\XPCD\I386 "/dest=C:\Many Users\XPero Rulez\Desktop" Note 1: The order of the switches is not relevant. Note 2: /source and /dest are only available when used with /mode=i386 Note 3: All the switches can be used in the normal way (not silent). They will change the default values. Note 4: /mode switch supports this two values: i386 (i386 patching) or normal What's new in 2.0 Beta 1: Files: - Added cleanmgr.exe - Added ctfmon.exe - Added cmdl32.exe - Added cmstp.exe - Added conime.exe - Added eventvwr.exe - Added finder.exe - Added mobsync.exe - Added msdtc.exe - Added mstsc.exe - Added nslookup.exe - Added ntsd.exe - Added perfmon.exe - Added regedt32.exe - Added rstrui.exe - Added runonce.exe - Added telnet.exe - Added verifier.exe - Added msimn.exe - Added oemig50.exe - Added wab.exe - Added wabmig.exe - Added batmeter.dll - Added btneighborhood.dll - Added diskcopy.dll - Added dskquoui.dll - Added dsquery.dll - Added dsuiext.dll - Added certmgr.dll - Added cdfview.dll - Added ciadmin.dll - Added fontext.dll - Added hmmapi.dll - Added iernonce.dll - Added inetmgr.dll - Added inetres.dll - Added input.dll - Added irmon.dll - Added mapi32.dll - Added msonsext.dll - Added netcfgx.dll - Added ntlanui2.dll - Added odbcint.dll - Added oledb32.dll - Added quartz.dll - Added remotepg.dll - Added scrobj.dll - Added shimgvw.dll - Added shscrap.dll - Added srrstr.dll - Added sxs.dll - Added syncui.dll - Added msoeres.dll - Added wabimp.dll - Added wab32res.dll - Added mlcfg32.cpl - Fixed irclass.dll Resources: - Modified all wizard bitmaps with MCE style - Modified icon 22 in setupapi.dll - Modified icon 28 in setupapi.dll - Modified icon 2 in shell32.dll - Modified icon 174 in shell32.dll - Modified icon 101 in icmui.dll - Modified icon 100 in icmui.dll - Modified icon 1 in sysmon.ocx - Added icon 107 in netplwiz.dll - Added icon 108 in netplwiz.dll - Added icon 110 in netplwiz.dll - Added icon 112 in netplwiz.dll - Added icon 200 in netplwiz.dll - Added icon 9998 in gcdef.dll - Added icon 9999 in gcdef.dll - Added bitmap 158 in explorer.exe - Added bitmap 162 in explorer.exe - Added bitmap 163 in explorer.exe - Added bitmap 164 in explorer.exe - Added bitmap 165 in explorer.exe - Added bitmap 166 in explorer.exe - Added bitmap 167 in explorer.exe - Added bitmap 126 in themeui.dll - Added bitmap 113 in dfrgres.dll - Added bitmap 114 in dfrgres.dll - Modified bitmap 1 in sysdm.cpl - Modified bitmap 2030 in mshtml.dll - Modified bitmap 2031 in mshtml.dll Miscellaneous / 3rd Party Files: - Added filemon.exe (Sysinternals) - Added regmon.exe (Sysinternals) - Added cefstore.dll (MS ActiveSync) - Added wcesmgr.exe (MS ActiveSync) - Added cmdow.exe (Ritchie Lawrence) - Added MS Office 2003 Custom Icons: - Added custom MP3 icon file - Added custom WAV icon file - Added custom MIDI icon file - Added custom AVI icon file - Added custom MPG/MPEG icon file - Added custom PNG icon file I386 Patching: - Added syssetup.dll - Added winnt32u.dll - Added winntbbu.dll - Added winnt32.exe - Added setup_w.bmp - Removed batt.dll Installer: - Now ALL files are optional (Normal installation) - Added short description for every file (Normal installation) Other: - Changed the "MS Shell Dlg" pointer to "Tahoma" (Thanks to Chris Pirillo) - Some minor fixes Let's start the bughunting! It is for all icons. And XPize Settings will require .NET Framework
