  1. Yep, that should work.
  2. What do you mean, shrink and customize? You can shrink and customize anything into anything.
  3. Ooh. Japa Crapa. Ouch. I think you people should listen to the admin. As for PS vs XBox, it is true that PS is slimmer, cooler, smaller, etc. I'll stay with the XBox simply because I like the name. Thre, you happy?
  4. The number i is essentially the square root of -1. So, for example, what is the square root of 4? It is 2. What is the square root of -4? sqrt(-4) = sqrt(-1 * 4) = sqrt(-1) * sqrt(4) = sqrt(-1) * 2. Since sqrt(-1) = i, sqrt(-4) = 2i. Then you get to do cool differential equations to figure out that e^(pi * i) = -1 Then, all you do is simple algebra to arrive to what i^i and log(i) are. 5. I don't think I will upgrade to Longhorn. My next computer will be a PowerBook, and if I ever need a Windows machine, then I can use Longhorn. Maybe if I really need it for school or work, then I'll get a new computer with Longhorn, but I don't think I will.
  6. Dude, I hate to break it to ya. Take your computer and shut it down. Hide it somewhere. Try to use school computers or a shared home computer if you need it for school. If you have enough time to be posting in MSFN, then you are not spending enough time studying. Try this. Get a pencil and a notebook or notepad. Turn off TV, computer, and any other distractions (things you normally like to do) and start writing about your life. You know, issues ongoing - President Bush, Iraq, how you like that girl that sits next to you, how to calculate pi. If you can't sit there and write feverishly for an hour (and you want to go to your computer and check MSFN or go watch TV, or do something that you know is not productive), you know that you are wasting too much time. The number one thing people mostly regret in high school is having wasted too much time. Try, instead of sitting online all day, to cut yourself off from the internet and start actually programming (if that turns you on) - make a cool text editor, figure out different ways to calculate pi, or get into USACO (http://www.usaco.org). It's free, it's online, it's awesome!!! Also, I suggest reading. I don't know what you like to read, but I really hate fiction (anything that would remotely resemble English class). I also can't stand those histories or biographies. If you are like me, I would suggest Simon Singh's Fermat's Enigma: The Quest to Solve the World's Greatest Mathematical Problem. Other than that, study. If things came to you easy before, then you are not used to studying. There will come a moment when you have to realize that things just don't make sense anymore. You actually have to study and learn and do things. I actually think that this is not your fault that you were put under these conditions. It is the fundamental flaw behind Elementary School education. They instill in you a sense that all learning must come from the teacher, and to learn ahead (where if the class is on Chapter 7, you want to be reading Chapter 15) is a crime. When you get into High School or even Middle School, that limitation has been taken away. You are instead encouraged to "explore" on your own, and since you have never done that, you are unsure of how to do that. Whereas before things just flowed smoothly from one topic to the other, now they just don't make sense. If any of these things apply to you, then you are wasting too much time having fun and not putting enough effort into doing actual work. If no, then oh well. I tried.
  7. I must have missed something in school because it isnt possible to square a number and get a negative answer. Oh, man. I think you did. Anyway. Given Euler's formula you have to define log(i) in terms of i, I've arrived to: log(i) = (pi*i)/(ln 100) If you play around with Euler's formula (Note that log(-1) = pi * i), then you should get something like: i^i = e^(-pi/2)
  8. Good luck with that.
  9. MANHASSET, N.Y. — Atheros Communications has combined a network processor with an 802.11g wireless LAN radio, baseband and media access control to realize the first single-chip 802.11g access point. Designed to reduce the cost of residential gateway devices, the chip also integrates many discrete components required by previous 11g access points. The chip, called the AR5006AP-G, builds on Atheros' established 802.11g single-chip technology by adding a 180-MHz MIPS R4K as the network processor for full routing capabilities. 10. So far, it's a fairly even distribution.
  11. Also, how does it relate to your left/right-handedness status? I am a righty both ways.
  12. This may not seem much like advice, but I would have a dedicated always-on computer for these purposes, much like you had it. Since you probably have a reason behind why you don't want that, I am not into printers, so I can't help you. Also, I think that there are some adapters on http://www.tigerdirect.com that allow wireless USB-printer printing. Here are some wired print servers if you don't want to run a dedicated PC.
  13. As long as your copy of Windows XP is legitimate (eg. bought), you should not have to pay anything. PHP, Apache, and MySQL are all open-source/free applications. If they ever ask you to pay money, then you know that the World is at Nuclear war.
  14. To anyone that knows of the HAL 9000 computer from 2001: A Space Odyssey, they would be glad (or unglad) to know that bidding for the original HAL lens starts on eBay at $150,000. News from here.

    uxtheme.dll

I doubt you should have to worry about that. There are much bigger Windows vulnerabilites to viruses. Go ahead and patch your uxtheme.dll with ease.
  16. Did you do that yourself?
  17. That is kinda the general idea.
  18. I think it's stupid to pay for something that's free. Patch for me, as well.
  19. I am not only looking for pdf/php support, but also doc/php.
  20. I was wondering if it is possible to extract the Author/Comments/Keywords/etc... field information that is found when right-clicking a .doc or .pdf file -> Properties -> Summary tab using PHP.
  21. I don't hear the song.
  22. So, how is that funny?
  23. What's so funny?
  24. Well, I'd figure that Antarctica is not a small island, but somewhere up north, like in Greenland.
  25. As for web traffic, if you are hosting with a respectable company, then they should have CPanel and web statistics already available. If they don't, then don't pay for the hosting. A good company is www.ashost.com and www.illusionfxnet.com
