Firefox can't see the download button, and IE8 reports brother-soft as an unsafe download site. To top it up, Avira Personal still reports it as a Trojan, so the problem with false positives isn't solved. Such a shame, because I really like this software. Edit: Not really big fan of this feature for a simple reason: I don't use the Recycle Bin. Ever.

A google search led me to this link page 8, post #151 Hope it helps

Any experiences you would like to share?

Well, you could post some of the lines that seem suspicious to you, or attach the whole file. I've done it and have received a great amount of help. Also check (this has happened to me) if the extension is correct; is it <b>.cmd</b> in the file name and in cmdlines.txt? I once added a.cmd file, but the command was for a .bat file. Cheers

karlos4, you have added every possible INTEL AHCI driver there is out there. Please, select only the one that you need for your system and integrate it in TXT mode as a single driver. Select iaAHCI.inf, and you will be prompted whether to choose x86 or x64 version, as well as the exact controller, for e.g. iaAHCI 6/7/8/9.... To find the exact controller you have on your system, open Device Manager and search for a SATA/AHCI controller.

Did you add it to the nLite RunOnce section?

Does Universal Extractor support Windows 7?
Sp0iLedBrAt replied to theforce's topic in Universal Extractor
The purpose (especially of this post) is not to clarify what other forums do or don't, but to show without telling that a lot of posts can be answered before they are actually written with the help of google and the forum search function. Enjoy -
Is a post XP install of SATA drivers possible?
Sp0iLedBrAt replied to outsounder's topic in Windows XP
It is possible with AMD AHCI; I found a topic (post #9 ) on these forums and successfully implemented it; however, I can't be sure about Intel's SATA/AHCI drivers. Maybe Fernando 1 can give you the answer you want. -
Quickly remove this attachment!!! Post LastSession.ini, not LastSession_u.ini THIS CONTAINS YOU KEY!!!

This is purely a cosmetic issue I would like to learn about. When I choose JPEG files for desktop background from a location different then My Pictures and then delete the JPEG, the entry stays in the window where you choose the background (see attachment for example). At the same time, the "My Pictures" folder seems to be indexed or cached, so when I open the window I see lots of photos that I myself have never put there, nor was ever planning to use (e.g. pictures from my digital camera). What I would like to know is where and how these are files indexed, so I can clear the obsolete entries and reduce the list to pictures I'm actually using. Thank you in advance

<ask> Driver Compaq Presario CQ40 532TU for XP SP2
Sp0iLedBrAt replied to z3r0k1d's topic in Windows XP
http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/softwareList?os=228&lc=en&dlc=en&cc=us&product=3994353〈=en# the official link only offers drivers for wireless card for XP, so yes, we have to know which components you exactly have on your PC. BTW, bsl140990, if that's the same hardware z3r0k1d has on his PC, a google search will do the trick. -
Can you tell us which switches you used for silent install? It is possible that another process should be launched after the file extraction, but setup does not wait and goes on to the next application instead. If so, there are easy ways to correct that.

Thank you for sharing the solution. It seems a bit strange to me that you had to rewrite the files necessary for OEM registration. As far as I know, nLite makes absolutely no changes to oembios.xxx files, because changing them would mean failure to activate you copy of XP. Did you per chance save a copy of setupp.ini before you replaced it with the one from the original disc? Enjoy
-
LOL!!! Thanks for sharing your solution.

A few things: 1. it is recommended that you use XP as a host OS for creating an XP CD with nLite (some people say this problem occurs only when you integrate a SP, but still...) 2. Try getting the actual key from your system, not the one on the sticker 3. I've read in other posts that the setting Explorer-Launch folder windows in a separate process exposes a bug with certain side-effects. I hope this is a good starting point.

About cmd's 'start "" /wait' command
Sp0iLedBrAt replied to Martin H's topic in Unattended Windows 2000/XP/2003
I only use "start /wait" in a .cmd file for installing stuff from the $OEM$ folder. It hasn't failed me so far. Truth be told, .cmd files have always been more understandable to me in terms of syntax. -
Have no idea, but IT IS an issue that has been reported before, lately HERE in posts #10 and #11. Maybe it's just a bug of some kind.

That's right, you can't test SATA drivers in a virtual machine, but you may still need them for your PC. Open Device Manager and search for SATA/AHCI/RAID controllers. User Fernando 1 has a sticky topic on how to correctly integrate those drivers in nLite. As for the problem, try to avoid Desktop as a working folder. Instead, create a folder in C:, for e.g. C:\addons and integrate them from there.

C:\Documents and Settings\XPMUser\Desktop\nlite\add-ons\ENTRIES_Foxit.ini Are you sure you integrated the whole add-on, since it shouldn't be unpacked. Also, does your PC have SATA hard disks? Because if it does, you will need to integrate a SATA driver.

I meant the red letters at the top of this page, and BTW, you haven't attached your Last Session.ini
-
You should never run nLite on a same XP source more than once. However, it's okay when you just open Nlite in order to create an ISO. As for the part with autopartition, did you try the Search function on the forums? There are plenty of topics covered about how nLite works. Anyway, Autopartition=1 should be placed in WINNT.SIF, which you can find in the I386 (or AMD64) in your XP CD after nLite is finished.
-
Well, first read the sign with BIG RED letters. Attach your LastSession.ini so we can see what you did with nLite and tell you what went wrong. Second, use a virtual machine to test your CDs; make an ISO with nLite and see how it goes. There more than one free VMs, like VirtualBox and VirtualPC.
