  1. Spending more on cooling then on the basic hardware I see .
  2. How about less then 100 bucks .2x Adata 800MHz 2GB sticks running at 1GHz/2.1v 5-5-5-15...
  3. It seems the only way is to test it with another USB mouse. Sadly, Trust isn’t really a brand (mostly known in the Benelux, but outside the Benelux it’s almost unknown), they buy cheap products and print/stick there logo on it. If possible go with Logitech next time .
  4. Just clone the drive with Acronis True Image for example.
  5. You beleve that? So you beleve this too?: And then compare your image in your post with this:
  6. Well, in a few months AMD will bring out a new revision of there 3 and 4 cored CPUs, this time at a higher speed and without the TLB (L3 cache "forgets" data simple said) problem.
  7. I know the SH-S203N supports Lightscribe... This puzzles me really...
  8. All depends if you overclock or not. Intel’s new E8xxx line would be the best pick for overclocking now. If you keep everything at stock speeds then I would look for an AMD. For what are you going to use your machine for any way?
  9. http://biz.yahoo.com/iw/080225/0365806.html http://www.metaram.com/pdf/briefs/DDR2_MetaSDRAM.pdf for more info .
  10. Nothing to worry about, logic tells that more then 128 shader units would need more bandwidth, thus a 512bit bus to the memory would be more likely. Speculations about the 9800GTX are 384 shader units with 1GB RAM (GDDR3 or most likely GDDR4).
  11. Indeed, tool nr. 1. Without it you are nowhere...
  12. Before Nehalem and Bloomfield will be released, we have the Dunnington. Sun leaked some info about the Dunnington and can be found here. Specs of the Dunnington were released back in October 2007 by the way...
  13. Hello dogpound, welcome to the forum. Did you do a repair?Other then that I see no other option then do de-install Office 2007 and install it again after a computer reset...
  14. You would not believe it, but I replace even bad capacitors my self (to give the customer a chance to switch to a new motherboard if possible but not keeping his/her PC from him/her. Also half broken USB port, PS/2 ports, sound ports and more. What more looks uncommon too you?
  15. Shoot, I overlooked that. Mostly, older components are not HDMI compatible, like your GF 6200, indeed...
  16. I use one also to tighten bras-busses to hold the motherboard.
  17. I don’t know, but I’m missing some info here; is this on-site or in a workshop? I use just: - 3 sizes of Phillips screw drives. - 3 sizes of flatbed screw drivers. - Precision screw driver tool set, if possible also with Torx. - Telephone pliers. - Cutter with break-off blades. - Cutting Nipper. - Network-cable assembling tool. - 35watt soldering iron with fine tip (and if you are not so good at it, get your self a solder sucker too) - Solder with wax core, fine. - Shrink hose in 3 sizes and a (cigarette or stove) lighter. - Tape, black isolating. - Compressed air. - Brush, fine and if possible with plastic edge/holder (metal parts could damage the components when dusting off). - Mesure tape - Multi Meter There you have your Basic tool kit .
  18. Well, the mod BIOS only let you set more Memory timings, but if you already played with it then I think your RAM can’t do more then it’s doing now. I had those boards stable up to 300-310MHz bus. I would seriously check the timings again and start to put them less aggressive.
  19. And try the "auto" settings button too on the screen...
  20. No different numbers, but it could be your DVD(-RW) indeed. Did you run the AHCI_ICH9.REG? As I described the procedure in my first post it should work, just do it over again, you must have missed a step somehow...
  21. That depends on how far you are from your screen, if its 10cm I would say "yes, more movement", but at 60cm it’s way less .
  22. I don’t know, but I think your drive isn’t supporting lightscribe at all...
  23. It would help if you tell us where it goes wrong. Your board, and also my test board, hasn’t RAID onboard.
  24. Welcome to the forum Wannie, You can not damage much by starting up your computer with the E8400 in it, however, to avoid taking a risk of de-assembling the setup I would use an older CPU first. What kind of P4 is it? Is it by any chance a 5xxor 6xx series? Then use that CPU first to update your BIOS.
