in the past few month Pilo has added and replaced the following parts: CPU CPU fan and i think heat sink PSU Graphics card stick of RAM HDD id say theres not much left wouldnt you? the motherboard is a cheap one, he didnt build the PC himself at the time of buying, that should say it all about the quality of the board. rest of his pc is pretty decent specs. infact i think ill have to pinch a HDD off him when hes not looking Didnt some reviews of your board say it was unstable and not up to much other than surfing the net Pilo? i bet the FSB on it is pants, wouldnt mind having a look into it myself, post the make and model up so i can go dig some stuff up on it.

The shuttle was returning not leaving earth, they may have escaped on the Emergency Exit Vehicle, in which they could live late into Spring. wonder why it ripped apart?? i watched some American news broadcasts on satelite earlier and while they where warning people not to touch, go near or pickup any debris because "its a biohazard as its been in space for a few days and its Gov' property, taking it is a federal offence" why didnt they just spit it out and say "could well be radioactive" keeping stuff from people like that is dumb and wrong, somone might find part of a reactor and take it home still, since when did "federal offence" stop everyone!?

you should run dedicated servers on it fine dude. dont install #xp on it if thats the case. the auctions where in halifax and dewsbury yes, Runecraft limited went bust, they had offices in boston and i think california too, but based real close to me, made a fair few dreamcast, PS2 and pc games.

depends tho zivian. i have a radeon 8500 and i cant run it as it gives the same results as crispy is suffering, ive lent it to a mate and hes real impressed with it... jammy sod has a good enough supply to run it

Gamehead.. many games wont run on Dual CPU systems, so if your thinking of getting one and want to play games on it be warned. most modern games will run however. i should hopefully have got a dual Pentium 3 800Mhz machine in the auctions i went to the other day. might use it for my FTP and as a general file server, secondary i'net workstation.

Doggie now im almost 100% its your power supply. whats your CPU speed dude? is your power supply a cheap or OEM model? my own PSU is 300W but its a decent one, its STILL underpowered, my drive gets more fragged than it should and my secondary HDD sometimes loses data stream if moving large files to it. its the PSU ive tried a mates beter one in it, i just never get round to putting a new one in. a buddy of mine had same problem as you, his PSU was 300W and his pc would shut down or lock up in games, even when he had a Duron in it! hes since upgraded and it got worse, so he got a new PSU and ta da.. problem went away imediately.

My best guess.. your power supply sucks. try update your chipset drivers too.

yeah crispy, most noticable are EA's 1942 site and forums. most other sites seem slow as hell, and gamespy is sluggish too.

ive had a lot fo pages not load today, and some sites seem very slow. is it just me or have the SQL attacks kicked off again?

what version of direct x and what nvidia drivers have you got installed? what geforce 4 is it exactly? Ti or MMX? my mates MMX440 runs the game but not as good as mine, sometime frame rate affects his acuracy when shooting, and it doesent look quite as nice obviously. have you tried installing the 1.2 patch? it resolved a lot of similar problems people had. Heres another tip, some peoples machines wouldnt run the intro movies, probably a codec issue. go to the programs directory and rename all the intro movie to something else. Even beter install the merciless mod as it turns them off anyway. id recomend installing mercilles and the texture packs also you can find all them HERE. make sure you grab the market garden and battle of the bulge textures from the same page to get the most out of the mod. its all client side so wont affect online play, just makes it look beter on those levels for u, and adds blood effects and other tweeks. your setup sounds similar to mine and mine runs the game smooth as silk. my spec: amd athlon xp 2100+ 512MB Pc27000 DDR winXP pro Direct X 9 Sound Blaster X gamer Latest detonator drivers and sound drivers, it ran just as good with directX 8 too. hope this solves it, im sure its the movies causing it,

heh, thats the kind of reason i bought this server case. i did mention it at the time too didnt i xperties? ill be able to fit whatever i like in here i want one of these cards.ill wait till the first price drop and get one. im not being an "early adopter" and shelling out £320 for one. id pay £280 tho. i would set it up as a file server, print server, and just for general web browsing. i know its a pain in the a** when the girlfriend wants to come in and go on the net and i have to get off (i do have 3 machines but i dont always have the network setup) Whats even more annoying is if im playing a game and she prints something from the networked PC. the printers connected to this machine and its like having HUGE lag. so the other machine should have the printer, either that or get a small print server to go with my hub (which ive hopefully got in this auction, wont find out for another week ) thats what id use it for anyway, whack a big hard disk or 3 in it and use it for file storage and a secondary inet PC.

theres lots of collectors out there, ill have a look for you. im also interested in old machines. depends what it is tho. ill post back later with some good results i hope

hmm ascii. hold ALT and type the number, then let go of alt. then do the next and so on till u get to the end of the line. use number pad not the numbers on top of keyboard. do it in something like notepad or word pad. ☺

Its affecting games too, all the '42 servers ive played on today have had huge lag spikes. eventhe reliable ones in my faves list. also now and again theres packet loss and you get dropped from the server as does everyone else on it. its happening all over not just a few of the game servers ive been on. net in general seems slow, ive only had a few pages not load for me tho.
