Just went ice skating today for the first time ever... my legs are going to fall off im telling you! still, after 20 min i was going around the arena pretty quickly without falling over and without having to hold onto the barrier! Pretty good day out actually... if you never thought of doing it id recomend it, it was only cheap too, skate as long as you want. i think i fell 3 times, not bad for a n00b eh?

enermax modify chieftec cases and sell them on. same as thermal take do, enermax also modify chieftec PSU's (they go under the name Antec) Antec and chieftec are the same thing, i think its just a brand name for each type of hardware. usually you buy a chieftec case it has an antec power supply in it, some dealers take them out as they are worth money on their own. so check. most places sell the cases for around the same price but some dont have the PSU. your mate wants to mod the case... well dragons look great with a window in and some neon string or a cathode behind the front bezel.

drew, putting a passworded XP drive in another machine usually still means u cant access the files. as file encryption is usually set at the same time as the password however, it might work depending. i would have put the drive in another machine then ran L0phtcrack on it and got all the passwords from the disk. I wonder how techguys tool did... did it work?

yeah zipp, so long as seatools or whatever it is, is on its own partition then fine, just use ghost and move the drive over. install partition magic 8 and you will be able to see instantly if theres another partition on your drive, hidden or not.

Linux you duffuses. i dont see space stations running windows XP on them, and for a good reason!

@ Doggie.. thats not a "problem" thats regular behavior for some CD burners. they wont accept some brands. my old burner hated gold colored "Mirror Media" discs but was fine with the silver ones. touch wood i havent found anything this light-on wont accept. Ardi.. yes id try update your ASPI layers to the WinXP ones, you can find the download page HERE Make sure you read the manual with it, you install via the command line using switches to select what OS you have. They should make life easier for people who are new to doing things like that. if your version of nero is old it may be looking for the Win2k ASPI layers, fireburner used to do that. my way round it? install both. Didnt seem to cause any problems, eventually fireburner updated and now works with XP ASPI. check your: Firmware ASPI layers Burning software version/updates

Not sure about that exact case but i know of many similar ones. ill check and post back what i find. but to start off have a look at www.chieftec.com they have similar ones. and you CAN buy IBM cases without the machine i think, like i said ill check. The ones im thinking of are NOt cheap though. they are intended for file servers etc that will cost thousands so they tend to extract the cash from your wallet as obviously you must have some building that kind of a system.

id tell your teacher how retarded a project it is when you cant get info on it becuase of their stupid system settings. also depends what type of hacker your talking about. you mean hacker as in a person who causes malicous damage, misschief, theft etc? or someone who modifies things, hardware or software to suit their own needs? someone who hacks web pages does it to: prove a point to the web site owner, get revenge etc make a political, social statement to look "cool" infront of their other lame friends to draw attention to the admin about vulnerabilities while having fun at their expense. this type of attacker will usually mail the admin a detailed description of the exploit and how to fix it. they may or may not deface the site to some extent to prove they are not making it up. other people break into systems to steal things, programs, documents, money transfer etc etc. or to even steal bandwidth. usually someone gets hacked for the later reason, someone sets up an FTP server and uses that machine for distributing warez to peers via word of mouth, warez sites or IRC bots. or uses the system to attack other machines, either as part of a Botnet or as a proxy to mask their own identity. before i go on and write the paper for you i should have given you enough to go on there surely. also try use googles cached pages as the web pilot may not block them as it thinks they are google pages. (theres one very simple hacker trick, your using something to get what you want to bypass the schools dumb system, this is the kind of thing the REAL hacker would do, just a very basic example. also see things such as linux Xbox project, thats hacking, and the school wont have blocked it)

ive never had that.. you got a screen shot of one? select the IM window and then press ALT print scrn/sys req it will capture only the msn window, then paste it into an image editor.. paint or whatever and attach it to your poist... be interesting to see this.

like booger said, sounds just like one of the strains of nimda. i had it trying to infect #"shared pictures" folder on my pc a while back so i simply removed the folder, ran BOTH nimda checking tools from symantecs site. they said no nimda found but i think thats because anti virus caught them before they could be clicked on by accident or anything. are there lots of them? some look like saved emails? Norton grabbed each one the second it apeared here. but still run the tool and be safe, i think it says no worm found even if there is, i think its supposed to read "worm removed" make sure you run both nimda rools! theres two strains of the virus.
