If its an OEM CD from Dell, for example, it will only check to see if you have a Dell motherboard... If you do, then the install should go alright... If not, I would do what mattofak said!

Yes... I USED to have a plug-in for iTunes that would FTP what song I was playing to my webspace and would display it there... And I also have a script in that signature that tells me (or you) if my computer is online or offline (a basic PHP ping)...
I have two Linksys routers... I have one connected to my DSL modem with the Uplink port connected to one of my 8 LAN ports on the other router (not the WAN port) and use the other 7 ports for my other computers... This works also (don't know if there's an uplink port on your routers)...
