    If its an OEM CD from Dell, for example, it will only check to see if you have a Dell motherboard... If you do, then the install should go alright... If not, I would do what mattofak said!

    You NEED to have a WEBSERVER setup, such as Apache or IIS in order for this to work properly... Then you will need a domain name instead of using your IP address... Free ones are available from http://www.dyndns.org and http://www.no-ip.com . [ Moved. ]

    nLite is supposed to fix this problem... There is an option to set the connections to whatever you want.

    Yes, MacOSX... It should work with any version of Windows, including 2000, XP (Home and Pro), and Windows 2003.

    Ask your friend to do what I said... I clean computers infected with all this crap and mainly use Ad-Aware, Spybot S&D, and HijackThis... Always does the job!

    Yes... I USED to have a plug-in for iTunes that would FTP what song I was playing to my webspace and would display it there... And I also have a script in that signature that tells me (or you) if my computer is online or offline (a basic PHP ping)...

    I have two Linksys routers... I have one connected to my DSL modem with the Uplink port connected to one of my 8 LAN ports on the other router (not the WAN port) and use the other 7 ports for my other computers... This works also (don't know if there's an uplink port on your routers)...
