wintec, I was not able to find a reference to " nLruntimeR3 [FrameworkLite 2.0 R3 (alternative, unofficial runtimes for nLite)] " on the nLite Web Site and I have not tried this .NET version. I suggest you give it a go and post back your results. Enjoy, John.

snoopy81, Are you sure you have a working theme? Please look this topic. Simply replacing the DLL before cutting the ISO seems to work. Enjoy, John.
-
Kurt_Aust, thanks for the reply but it is really strange it works for you and not me. Since the install is silent, I see no error just no Java in Add/Remove or in the Control Panel. Thanks, John.

AmdM, The Run1_XP-64.bat file is placed in your source folder along with the AddOns and other folders described on page 1 of this topic. This is parallel (at the same level) with the i386 and AMD64 folders. Run1_XP-64.bat is called via the GUI RunOnce code out of nLite's Unattended section (see page 1 also). You can add or subtract programs being installed by this .bat as you wish. Enjoy, John.

TranceEnergy, I agree with the minimal approach, but in this case I don't understand the switch ADDLOCAL=ALL, so I hesitate to remove it. Thanks, John.

zomos, You can send nuhi an e-mail (see his web site) and/or a PM. I did both some time ago about a problem I found and never received an answer. Good luck, John.

Madhav, Nice tweak. I have added it to my WPI commands. Do you have one to place my Recycle bin on the left under My Documents? Not sure how to help you get your request implemented, but you might try an e-mail or PM to nuhi, the author. Enjoy, John.

wintec, Sorry, I don't have a clue what runtime 2R3 is and Google is no help. Perhaps someone knows, but why not tell us what it is and maybe we can comment? Have you tried it? Enjoy, John.

Preference, I would suggest you start over and don't remove SmartCard. I looked at the topic you referenced and it is old. If nothing else you might have long term problems using the old DLLs when iTunes puts put an update. The whole thread is old and perhaps that is why it is not working for you. If you have more questions, please attach (not paste) your LastSession.ini. Enjoy, John.

SparkS666, Sorry, I don't see your LastSession.ini. Did you attach it? I suspect you have not integrated your SiS drivers as text mode drivers. NLite should say they are text mode. Where did you get the drivers? I got my RAID/Sata drivers from the nVidia folder for the floppy (F6). There should be a txtsetup.oem file in the text mode driver folder. Enjoy, John.
-
SparkS666, please attach (not paste) your LastSession.ini. Make sure you are not nLiteing the same source more than once. Where did you get your RAID drivers? Did you integrate the text mode versions? Are your HDDs Sata? Did you integrate the Sata text mode drivers? Enjoy, John.

Keefa, I appear to have these same set of drivers (SBDrv), but they are in my Catalyst 8.4 Video driver folder. I have an nVidia chipset and got my text mode drivers from the floppy files (F6). I have not done an nLited install with these but I used the floppy to get my system going several years ago. Are you sure you are using the correct RAID drivers? In my text mode folder (copied from floppy) I have these two drivers: nvrdx64.inf and nvatax64.inf. I think the first is the RAID driver and the other is the Sata driver. You may have the correct Sata driver but not the right Raid driver. Enjoy, John.

TranceEnergy, I ran the Java install like this and it seems to be fine. Thanks, John. D:\AddOns\jre-6u10-windows-i586-p.exe IEXPLORER=1 ADDLOCAL=ALL /qn /NoRestart D:\AddOns\jre-6u10-windows-x64.exe /qn /NoRestart

plizarralde, I have never used AddOns and therefore am suspicious of them in your case. I have done many installs (VMware Server) and never noticed any left behind files. I do not think the source of the extra files is nLite. I think it more likely it is the AddOns. I do a number of installs out of the GUI RunOnce and WPI with no problems. There are few AddOns for XP x64, so I never got into them. Did you make them yourself or use other peoples? If others, you could try PMing them about the files/folders. Sorry I can not be of more help, but I continue to learn interesting things. Enjoy, John.

Keefa, In general you are asking for trouble Nliteing the same source more than once. You should always start with a clean copy of your original CD files/folders and do everything in one nLite session. I see no drivers at all in your LastSession.ini and am not familiar with driver packs so it is not possible for me to comment knowledgeably. When your Sata/RAID drivers are integrated by nLite, does it report them to be text mode? Once (long before nLite) when I first brought my machine up, I did not get the Sata/RAID drivers installed properly (F6) and the first part of the install seemed to go fine, but it failed later (I'm running XP x64 also). I don't remember what kind of error it got. I suspect your text mode Sata/RAID drivers are not being integrated properly my nLite. Did it ask you about which text mode driver to use? Good luck, John.

TranceEnergy, Great! Thanks. I will try it shortly. Enjoy, John.

I did an install today after finding that Java was not installed. I watched and observed that I got some dialog boxes from both Java installers but I still do not have Java installed on my VM. I am using the latest of Kurt's instructions. I also made a .bat file of the two install instructions and made the same observations, but still no Java. Using the installers directly and answering the prompts works and I have Java installed. I hope others are seeing this problem. Thanks for your help, John.

Holzmichi, Please attach (not paste) your LastSession.ini and make sure you are not nLiting a source that has already been nLited. Enjoy, John.

Has anyone noticed their clock (system tray) has changed to 24 hour mode? It changed on both my real machine and VM. I suspect an MS hot fix. Please let me know, John. EDIT: Turns out this is caused by a utility I ran. The Smart Driver Backup utility changes the clock to 24 hour format as soon as it runs. Why, I do not know. John.

omnikai, Yes, it is USSF, Universal Silent Switch Finder. Please search these forums for many references. It cannot find all switches but many. Enjoy, John.

yeehwa, Lots of people have seen this error. Please do a search on this forum for R6025 and see what others have found. Enjoy, John.

plizarralde, You mostly still have me lost. Does temp_dir = %USERPROFILE%\Configuración local\Temp mean the same as temp_dir = %USERPROFILE%\Local Settings\Temp? This is where the temporary files are normally. The 7z***.tmp are temp folders from 7-Zip, a compression/decompression utility used by many program. I don't know why the folders are where they are, but I am not surprised that they are left behind. Open a Run dialog and type %temp%, you should see more left behind temp files/folders. "Notes70.htm" is a HTML file and opens with a browser. Go ahead and open them and see what they say. I don't see anything in your LastSession.ini that is a problem but there is still lots there I can't read. Enjoy, John.

mschol, I don't have an answer for you and I think perhaps only nuhi can give you one. I did a search on my CD folder for 5.2.3790 (my build number front end) and found 30 or 40 hits. Many were .inf files. You may find one better than the rest. If you put your CD into your drive, the label will show up in My Computer (mine is ARMPXOEM_EN). If you Google this, you should be able to determine what it is. Hope this helps, John.

Kelsenellenelvian, Thanks for the Smart Driver Backup. That looks like a great edition to utilities. Do you know if it works OK in XP x64? Thanks, John.
-
Zeero, It looks like you are running nLite under XP x64 - correct? Are you running nLite.exe in SP2 XP Compatibility mode? This may be the root of your problem. I am curious where you got your original CD. My Google search on the label indicates it is a version offered for DL on the Internet and is therefore warez (see Forum Rules, rule 1.a) Please let us hear, John.
