    Problem with install

I did use nlite for testing only, seeing what can be achieved by reducing Windows XP and customizing it for deployment in a VDI Solution. I said that this test takes me closer to the goal, but not said I was already there, now I can put some people of my team to do it the hard way, knowing that this can be acomplished... this test just pointed me in the right direction... cheers

    Problem with install

Yes I'm running XP x64, but not running nlite in sp2 xp compat. mode. I Already redone all the nlite process (again without compat mode) and slipstreamed XP SP3 to the CD, leaving some other things untouched and removing only some things and doing some tweaks, the ISO with problems was 263MB new ISO is 508MB and IT WORKS like a charm!!! Installed on VMware Server and after install running system only uses 73 mb RAM. Installed Office 2007 Pro Plus and it run OK! About the CD Source believe me, it's original from MS because I'm a Certified Partner for Microsoft, Citrix and VMWare, all this work I'm doing is related to a Virtual Desktop Infrastructure project where I need to remove non essentials services and programs to keep Windows Virtual Machines consuming as little memory and Disk as posible! And after this test I'm just closer to the goal! Now I only need to reduce ISO size to remove even more services and unneded files. Thank you!

  4. Hello fellows I have a problem with Windows XP after using Nlite to customize installation boot with the new CD and Xp begins to load, but after a few seconds it says that on the hardisk there is no previous version installed and ask me to introduce a Windows XP Home or Professional Original Cd to test if I'm eligible to install the Windows version on the CD. I'm using Windows XP SP2 VLP not a Upgrade edition. I'm pretty sure that I removed something fot this to happen but have no idea of what it was. Can some oen give some advice on this problem? Cheers
