The soundcard is 'Creative Labs Sound Blaster Audigy 2 Player Retail' so if you know that this will work then please tell me, lol. I don't know alot about speakers and their jack points etc and he wants this comp for his music (downloading and playing).

  7. Have you installed the drivers for the webcam? Close Yahoo down and any other program that might be using the webcam. The open MSN and try again. If it still says the same thing then go to 'tools' on msn then 'web camera settings' and hopefully you should see yourself, and settings for your camera. Make sure your webcam is detected by msn, if not, disconnect it then re-connect it. If it still is not reboot, make sure yahoo is closed. Hope this helps.
  8. Nothing with 128mb on XP will run 'nicely'. Every comp i build i make sure i put 512mb of RAM in as this works best for XP.

  10. Are you on cable?! Possibly someone in your area is downloading HEAVILY in our area and is taking some of your connection... Go sort them out
  11. Ack the RAM, lol... From those details you gave it may be because you dont have alot of RAM (memory). To run XP you really need 256mb of RAM, 512mb for more complex stuff like games etc...

  13. I used to have Zone Alarm, liked it, had few problems with games etc but was fine... Now i use the Windows XP firewall as this does fine for me, i left my hacking days behind me so dont need massive protection anymore, lol...

  17. Yeah, in the UK its 512kb/sec... As Aaron said there is 2mb cable available for home users (very soon). BT, my ISP, one of the largest does not offer 1mb DSL which really gets on me tits, lol... That 6mb DSL is £99.99 Hope BT bring out the 1mb DSL soon... Want it, now!!
