I read all the thread in that link but didn't find an answer for this two questions: My OS is x64, SQLite3.exe is only x86 so no dilemma, but SetACL.exe has x64 and x86 versions, I should use x64, Is this right? Also my local Network is wireless, I commeted out (::) in script all related to WlanSvc in order to don't loose wireless connection, Is that enough? Best Regards alacran

@ JFX First once agay THANKS for this marvelous tool. I'll never get tired of saying it. Sorry to boder you, if you don't mind I have some questions: 1- Top Left corner menu from the little icon: If I run your tool in a lite WinPE I made, can't see this icon (but I can see BootIce icon on Right corner), maybe it is a lack of a dependancy (Everything else is working very fine). Is there another way to open it?, A funtion key perhaps? Or any info about depencies? 2 - If I make a WinPE from lets say en-US souce, then run from it WinNTSetup as language selection is automatic, it runs in english. Is there a way to force language selection?, maybe save and edit the *.ini before? 3 - Also do you think It is time to udate spanish translation? I made it long time ago. If so Would you like to uptade something first? Best Regards alacran

This may not be very accurate but see the date and size of Winre.wim and that may give you an idea when it was created, I'm on 7x64 Ultimate SP-1 my Winre.wim size is 162 MB (170,686,398 bytes) Created on: April/12/2011, 04:12:09 a.m. Modified on: Nov/20/2010 (I don't know how they can modify something before creating it, but it is what I got in properties), this is spanish version, so maybe a translator make a mistake. alacran

You can download a 7/8.1/10 ISO from Microsoft using this tool: http://www.msfn.org/2016/09/25/microsoft-windows-office-iso-download-tool-4-00/ Later you can add all required files/folders to make that ISO or USB good for all OEM brands using the tool Project Only - No Query Tool [29.70 MB] from the links in this page: http://pasted.co/de1acca8 read text files inside the download, it is pretty clear. Source: https://forums.mydigitallife.info/threads/71555-Multi-OEM-Retail-Project-Continued NOTE: This is only good for OEM machines, this DO NOT activate the OS unless there is the required Slic or Serial in your Bios (from OEM manufacturer), so make sure you download the proper OS, for your machine, you can download Query Tool Only [109.82 KB] in advance to check wich OS is good for your equipment. Some AV claim this one is malware but IT IS NOT, false positive. alacran

Are you going to upgrade to Windows 10 before July, 29?
alacran replied to Stefan43's topic in Windows 10
I just updated my 5 machines to Win10 this month (just in case), activated them and then go back to previous system image (Win7 and some of them dual boot with XP). Win Update is deactivated and the service is disabled since August 2015, when just stoped looking for and blocking the malware updates every month, none of the malware updates are instaled, machines are going to stay this way for as log as possible. Just updating regularly Acrobat reader, Flash Player, Java, VLC media player, FireFox, Malwarebytes Anti-Malware Free and Avast Free. Skype, Facebook and Google Crome are not installed, for searching the web I use Ixquick or DuckDuckGo. I make new backup images about every 2 months. All machines have a dedicated partition (for documents, programs and games) in order to reduce size of backup images, just imaging Windows partitions and Boot partitions. Also I have a copy of all my documents, programs and games on USB external HDD's. All internal and external HDD's are MBR partitioned to let me have a grub4dos boot option in Windows boot manager or directly instaled to MBR (external HDD's) in order to boot several Iso images located on a folder on my documents partition to avoid the need of a CD, DVD or USB stick or HDD just to load the recovery and backup utilities, Isos boot faster boot from intrernal HDD's (never the less I do have this option too). Scanning once a week using Malwarebytes Anti-Malware one week and Avast next week, and not a single problem until now. alacran -

Why do they do not understand: They are not going to take a big piece of the cake?. If for once they understand this, we could expect a more serious an professional Windows free of (Cr)apps. alacran

cortana reinstall after uninstall with tweak tool:-(((
alacran replied to sven73527's topic in Windows 10
You do not need Cortana. You may download SwiftSearch (just a single exe), it is great, free and faster than Windows one, also do not requiere to index files as MS one do, Only search in NTFS units. Download from this link: https://sourceforge.net/projects/swiftsearch/ It is totally clean no adds on it, I use it since long time ago in all my PC's alacran -

Convenience rollup update for Windows 7 SP1 and Windows Server 2008 R2 SP1 This article describes a convenience rollup for Windows 7 Service Pack 1 (SP1)-based and Windows Server 2008 R2 SP1-based computers. This rollup package includes almost all the updates that were released after the release of SP1 for Windows 7 and Windows Server 2008 R2, through April 2016. This convenience rollup is intended to make it easy to integrate fixes that were released after SP1 for Windows 7 and Windows Server 2008 R2. We recommend that you include this rollup package in the image creation process to make it easier to quickly set up a computer. https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/3125574 Prerequisites To apply this update, you must install Service Pack 1 for Windows 7 or Windows Server 2008 R2 (KB976932) and April 2015 servicing stack update for Windows 7 and Windows Server 2008 R2 (KB3020369). Direct links for any browser: For x86: download.windowsupdate.com/d/msdownload/update/software/updt/2016/05/windows6.1-kb3125574-v4-x86_ba1ff5537312561795cc04db0b02fbb0a74b2cbd.msu For x64: download.windowsupdate.com/d/msdownload/update/software/updt/2016/05/windows6.1-kb3125574-v4-x64_2dafb1d203c8964239af3048b5dd4b1264cd93b9.msu Injecting Pack: If you want to inject this Pack into Windows 7 SP1 *.wim image, you must first inject KB3020369 alone, after doing this you can inject the Convenience Pack. Please be carefull this Pack may have all Telemetry Updates in it. alacran

Well not only Google browser, Facebook, Twitter (I do not use any of them) and also all FREE antivirus do same thing, but in Avast you can disable it if you want (only one with this option), actually it is my felling there are more companies selling info than buyers. MS came late to this business (as usually), they do not do anything new since a long time ago. Fogot to mention Ubuntu spyware. http://arstechnica.com/information-technology/2012/12/richard-stallman-calls-ubuntu-spyware-because-it-tracks-searches/ alacran

It sounds as after all this effort making PC UI (since 8 and now more in 10) just as a phone UI, they are now in limbo and they do not know what to do. Actually they are only trying to copy Google or Apple way of business. Have anybody hear any news about Nadela the CEO recently? Perhaps he is thinking in make android phones just to get some money for the company after giving away 10 for "free", I do not think the information selling business is working too good (companies allready have Apple and Google to do that since a long time ago, Why they will need another without any experience in this?, Also Google browser works in all OS's, so they do not need an OS maker to Spy people). alacran
