What version of Office 2003 are you using... im using Service Pack 3 integrated into the setup source a.k.a slipstreamed and i dont have any problems so it might not be vlite after all, gonna reinstall my comp 2nite anyway so ill install office 2003 after and let you know Goto help > about in Word.
ah ok, just that the other day i decided to install Office 2003 on my sisters computer and didnt get any message saying it was installing, configuring or anything when i opened IE7 and what ever. And i was like "Woah, its been fixed "
I think thats been fixed in Vista SP1, as it works for me with alot removed inc. "Speech Support" and i used to get the problem but now the only difference is more components removed and SP1. Only errors i did get was during instalation but thats because i removed MDAC and Jet Database.
Yep they are like big hotfixes, but i dont think you can go wrong with an MS preintegrated. I probably just removed Tablet PC and Help at the same time because i dont remove 1 at a time... too time consuming P.S. I think its easier if you all just call me Lego, unless you just copied n pasted haha
I've never had a driver problem, i had drivers even when the BETA was out n it was all new hardware too But mainly the same thing happened to XP when it was released as said above, i agree with Cluberti 100%
YAY thanks One of these causes the problem: ;# Hardware Support # Dynamic Volume Manager Firewire (1394) Windows Portable Devices WLAN Support ;# Multimedia # Media Center Movie and DVD Maker Shell event sounds SideShow ;# Network # File and printer sharing (Server) Remote Desktop and Assistance ;# Services # Computer Browser Distributed Link Tracking Client ReadyBoost Secondary Logon Task Scheduler Volume Shadow Copy WebDAV (WebClient) Windows Time ;# System # Help IMAPIv2 Burning Support Run a legacy CPL elevated Sync Center System Restore Windows SAT (Performance Index)
don't just go for freeware I got the money to buy one just wanting to know a good one, not ones like norton though as they have a year subscription. The ones already said ill have a look I've used avast before, i liked it
C:\Windows\Setup its in there, thats the preset for the currently installed Vista. Also a question, have you used any previous vLite versions, if so did you have the same problem then? Lego
If WGA works then they should go for it, about MinWin ive read about that... have they started it from scratch? Gaming version of windows 7, actually sounds abit better but i bet they make it expensive. whats your "wishlist" for Windows 7?
