Not sure if there is a topic already like this, but just wondering what everyone would like to see in Windows 7 (this isnt any official lol) I would like to see: x64 only - no "SysWOW64" or "Program Files (x86)" Just nice pure x64 native software & drivers. By the time it comes out there will be plenty of x64 software so its like there was no such thing as x86 at all. Less Versions, no Home Basic, Home Premium, Ultimate, etc... No WGA or activation - I don't use illegal software but within a week someone always figured out a way to get passed it, so id rather microsoft spent time/money on something useful! If it works then go for it Gaming Mode - No need to explain that one Installation Selection - Like Windows 98 basically, you can select the components/features you want during the installaion even seleting "under the hood" components. No backwards compatiblity - So just new software will work on it. But obviously old hardware too. Much less services and dependencies. Tabbed Explorer - mentioned on other websites too What would you like to see?

Hey everyone i was wondering if there is a way of getting Windows Live Messenger without having to use the installer which downloads and installs it for you, i manage to find the folder it downloads too but when using the WLM installer it downloaded... it didnt do anything lol. More or less looking for a standalone installer Just dont want to download something which then downloads something else.. seems stupid n pointless to me Thanks in advance. -Lego

Disabling the "Task Manager Disabled Message"
Legolash2o replied to the_travisty's topic in Windows XP
renaming it works, when pressing ctrl + shift + esc it does completly nothing. If you ever need to use it though you can just put a shortcut on your desktop, quicklaunch or wherever so you can quickly open it when needed. -

MetaRAM quadruples DDR2 DIMM capacities, launches 8GB DIMMs
Legolash2o replied to Zxian's topic in Technology News
Prices based on previous topic. Eighty 2GB FBDIMM = Total of 160GB at $12,000 Twenty 8GB MetaRAM = Total of 160GB at $4000 You could buy 480GB of MetaRAM for the same price as it would cost you to buy 160GB FBDIMM, id choose that over DDR2-1000 anyday even if they are DDR2-667. -

Woah thats alot lol, nLite is for personal use anyways. Which 1 of those is the bluetooth driver your asking about? Personally i dont use the manufacturers Bluetooth software and use microsofts built in. Can't remember if its in xp though. P.S. Just attaching the preset is enough, no need to paste it all into the post Welcome to the forums too -Lego

Yes you can report sp1 preintegrated bugs, preferably in a new topic as this doesn't have the title to match.

hacked copies....illegal, maybe unmodified copies but aslong as they have a license to use it for the specified computer (i.e. original disk lost/damaged). Although by law you are allowed to make one backup copy, the unmodified copy would be kinda like your backup but im not a legal expert... I recommened not to continue this topic as its coming close to rule breaking.
