I am tweaking some of my XP icons by directly editing various dll and exe files, and I was wondering if anyone had some good icon sites besides wincustomize.com.

What registry hive does this tweak fall under? If its any hive except HKCU you could have the GPO apply to the computer and have the computer start the script on boot up.

check the router connection to the switch, since any packet going between vlans will have to go through the router. Make sure this connection is full duplex.

RRAS

This is retarded. There is no logical reason to do this. Yes Windows can funcation as a router with RRAS but this situation does not warrant it. By having ALL data on the network flow through a Windows box you are serverely limiting your network. By a SWITCH and have it do its job and packet switch for you, it is what it was DESIGNED to do. It will also make the network much more manageable. BTW ever heard of KISS?

Couldnt you use A GPO to restrict the running of the exe?

There really are too many things to test for 1 peice of software to tell you what is slow.

Just keep trying your programs and see if they like to be installed from the HD, its really the best way. No one can tell you because we dont know what you are trying to install.

Is the install folder under $1\Install?

I dont think this can be done. The only way I think Windows installs any hardware is if it is present. You can provide drivers for any amount of hardware but if it is not there it wont get installed.

Thanks for the link, I have looked at most of those. Has anyone gotten the Promise Fastrak 376/378 working unattended in raid mode? Most of the responses here do not look too promising.

Looking into learning AutoIt. It is a nice scripting tool that can allow you to do many things rather easily. It has the ability to launch a program and not quit until another process is finished.
