jpatto Posted June 9, 2005 Posted June 9, 2005 I have 200 users. All the machines require 1 registry tweak to be applied. All users have a strict policy which already has regedit disabled. Is there any way i can give all users admin access just for them to have this tweak applied and then revert back to the default policy for each user? without removing users from their policy groups? or any other ideas to apply this 1 tweak on 200 PCsThanks in advance
jondercik Posted June 9, 2005 Posted June 9, 2005 What registry hive does this tweak fall under? If its any hive except HKCU you could have the GPO apply to the computer and have the computer start the script on boot up.
bullet Posted June 11, 2005 Posted June 11, 2005 I agree with jondercik. Open notepad, copy the regtweak, save the file as a .reg then just have a startup script merge file the file from a network share.
