actually, this is a very decent program. Solomon's choice of display,skin,colors etc. is just gross!, and its sad that his screeny turned off so many people to such a good program. To add to this comment, that screeny/comments are not even close to a default installation. A default install is quite similar to openning Windows Explorer but with many enhancements. shark

along with copying the files within the updfiles folder, also copy nod32.000 and nod32.003 in the main folder and on next reboot it will display the proper date for virus signature database version and Date of the files you applied manually. The build # doesnt get updated until you do an online update. shark

The main focus of MSFN (correct me if i'm wrong) is unattended windows installations. A switchless installer is very useful for these types of installations because no user interaction is required.shark

The bak files are the originals. copying them over wont get you a patched copy.You can easily use the original installer and after its installed overwrite installed files with patched files. I assume the original will allow /qn etc. i have not tested this though. The only reason i can see this scenario failing is that Messenger is loaded and you cant overwite loaded files. Ok.. i'm never minding.shark

1st download and install Live Messenger. Next get Apatch (google it) or similar software and with messenger NOT loaded, use Apatch on your current installation. Be sure to choose 'backup files' so that the original files are marked .bak. Then go to the installation directory and copy the patched files (you'll know which are patched because the originals are now .bak). Decompress my installer and overwrite the existing files in my installer with the patched ones. re-create the 7zip sfx exe , and use it in your uA media.Disclaimer: Patching MSN Messenger infringes on Microsoft's Terms of Use. It was only tested on standard resolutions of 800x600 and 1024x768. Since my script uses x/y positioning, i can see it not functioning on other resolutions.Shark

Thats how AlcoholSoft wrote the installer. No matter how you install it, it doesnt show up in Add/Remove programs. I agree, it sucks. There is a link to the uninstaller in the dir created in the startmenu. shark

This installation has become a 2 step proccess just as daemon tools 4. SPTD drivers need to be installed before Alcohol. This is the portion of the installation that needs a reboot before it is active. The following Download is a switchless installer that will install these drivers from svcpack without a reboot. Credit for this installer goes to 'MHz' Get it here My AutoIt script for the installation of Alcohol was removed because MHz AutoIt skills far exceed my own and i have personally changed over to using his posted script. muiz, the quotes on the serial are screwing you around, try it with a 'backslash' infront of them. This is only for using it in a REG ADD method, the originally posted instruction, was a batchfile.shark

The settings are set in winamp.ini, inside the installation folder. The person asking has a few options, - Copy his own winamp.ini overwriting the installed one - Repackage the installer i provided with his own winamp.ini I have no idea of the differences, i have never installed the lite version. I dont personally use winamp, i created this for others. shark

I install these drivers without any problems using oempnpdriverspath in winnt.sif. shark
