  1. I went that extra step, and edited the WINNT32.MSI from Windows XP Pro SP2 for you. I have no idea if this file is different in XP home. The attached file also contains an UPGRADE.EXE with goes in the root of the CD. Executing UPGRADE.EXE automatically starts the upgrade proccess without any further prompts for input. Of course, for all this to work properly, UNATTEND.TXT in the I386 dir needs to contain the proper format and CD KEY for your version of windows. This is different from the way its listed in WINNT.SIF [userData] ProductKey = xxxxx-xxxxx-xxxxx-xxxxx-xxxxx shark XPCD.7z
  2. I posted a solution for someone else Here oopss, i just noticed you want a solution for win98. That post is for win2k/XP, sorry. shark

  5. No. This command only works on switchless installers crearted with 7zip. shark

  7. The download links seem to be broken? shark
  8. Sorry, but you 100% incorrect Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0 is NOT backwards compatible. IT DOES NOT overwite or update the 1.1 installation. You will need BOTH until such time that 2.x is updated with backwards compatibility. shark

  11. Under system properties / advanced / performance / settings I'd like to set 'adjust for best appearance' by default. Does anyone have a regtweak for this setting? (yes, of course i searched, here, and globally) shark
  12. There are probably hidden switches being applied to the setup file. such as: setup.exe /qb /norestart to see these switches, run the following command from a command prompt: Find /I "RunProgram=" "FullPath\to\SelfExtractNameHere.exe" of course, replace FullPath\to\SelfExtractNameHere with the appropriate information. shark
  13. Beta 1.2.3 Build 360 is available. Changelog shark
  14. 4.32 is available, shark
  15. Requiring the user to input a Serial# or CDkey hasnt worked for any of the large corporations such as Microsoft or Adobe. But if you're only trying to protect these installations from your little brother then this schema is probably ok for you. Your 2nd question concerning unattended would depend on the way you setup the installations within the msi. I have no idea how you 'packaged' them into an msi but usually a serial number can be entered via the commandline property options. eg. myprotectedfiles.msi serial=xxxx.xxxx.xxxx.xxxx /passive shark
  16. its in the fact that rarsoft never made a corporate version. I didnt mean for this to become a full blown discussion. I had hoped my initial post would've prompted the poster to 'cleanup' the original post. I still have this hope ... shark
  17. @ghosty My previous post was a small attempt at sarcasm, but i guess it flew right past you. This site never has and never will support warez or its users. You wont get any help here. shark
