  1. "Use classic legacy boot menu" can't be done if "Do not update the boot code" selected , isn't it ? ( because it's "bcdedit /set {default} bootmenupolicy legacy" , no ? ) ... sorry for my english ...
  2. in "Setup" dialog, these options sould be greyed when "Do not update the boot code" , isn't it ? Button [ ALL/BIOS/UEFI ] Find and add Windows version already installed on this PC Use classic "legacy" boot menu
  3. it's working fine disabling multicore
  4. ok for cpu , I was thinking about wrong hyper threading detection ... I've just tried the restore system of a Microsoft Surface 3 (Win10 v1511) 4 files with format *.swm ; directly downloader from Microsoft. WinNTSetup seems apply first swm then error -> Error : Applying System image failed! 0x6: Descripteur non valide even with wimlib.dll If i apply with dism or WinNTSetup3.9.4 , there isn't error.
  5. On my system , cpu is intel Core i5-9600k ( 6 cores without hyperthreading ) WinNTSetup use x3 active cores, is normal ?
  6. try alternate windows update http://download.wsusoffline.net/ then retry windows update after reboot after wsus
  7. Windows Defender false detection WinNTSetup_x86.exe ->[RSRCEmb] Trojan:Win32/Zpevdo.B (Beta 2 & Beta 3 of version 4 )

  10. thanks @jaclaz for fast answer and clarification. is there an option to exclude "All Disks" for BootMountExclude ?
  11. hi ! i don't remember , is it possible to disable all "boot" partition ? tried BootMountExclude=1 , doesn't work
  12. I'm thinking in background ... For applying settings when no tweaks selected is good idead, because we like know what is done. btw , what are "settings" applied when no tweaks selected ?
  13. About tweaks parts, an interesting approach will be to put in the .ini, like this, example: Title for Textbox ; REG_PATH ; REG_VALUE ; REG_DATA "Disable AutoReboot on crash";"HKLM\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\CrashControl";"AutoReboot";"dword";"0" "Custom action";"command line" Tweaks will be documented and can be customized, extended, fixed, updated. On Windows 10 builds, I use Remove-AppXProvisionnedApps to clean system, integrated directly to winnt procedure will be nice By the way, if no tweaks are selected, there is a step "Applying tweaks" but don't know what was done, just force C letter adjust ?
  14. after some tests, I think focus to "finish popup" was good to remind the end operation, just the "buttons focus" need to be on the "OK" instead "reboot". Big thanks JFX :-)
  15. Can you disable focus to "Popup finish, reboot" when finish applying image ? Whishlist : time elapsed into "Popup finish" would be nice to detect eventually abnormal slow hdd ... Sorry for my english : For my case, I use WinNTSetup on my main OS, I start an installation in background, I write a post in another windows ... winntsetup finish then a popup focus to screen, I press spacebar for post and baam ... spacebar confirm reboot action on the winntsetup popup ...
  16. On my UEFI Win10 , when "BIOS" only selected in "Boot code" section, WinNTSetup keep create EFI boot sectors too. When "EFI" only selected, WinNT correctly create EFI only boot sectors, but create an empty "bootmgr" at the root ... (with version 3.9.1)
  17. Big thanks JFX . Seems the board reverted to an old backup , too bad :-( but I hope the good work keep up !
  18. typo Win10Builds.ini v1707 instead 1709 ...
  19. After some weeks using great winntsetup ... Why not a gui with "boot" gui on main gui ? when "Boot" unselected , the "boot part option" become greyed ...
  20. I did not remember , thx !
  21. Thanks for info. I tried use "-DisableVHDChecks" argument but can't apply custom wim based on win7 pro or home, but it's a VHD for VirtualPC to test "compact mode" , I don't want to boot from vhd ... is there an option ? or error by me ? Thanks again in advance.
  22. just discover "Compact:Xpress4k" mode , and it works great on win10 and win7 wofadk.sys auto integration , nice work ! now my n00b questions : is it all files applied from wim are xpress4k'd ? or just "windows files" ? or certains files ? can we compact:express4k after apply wim ? offline or online ? it's seems different than "compact /compactos:always" isn't it ? thanks in advance for tips !
  23. it can be done, but smb doesn't use only 445 port ... try forwarding 139 port too ...
