why do u need a boot disk? xp automatically loads when u put the cd in the cdrom drive. unless. u did not set your bios to boot from your cd before your hard drive.

first what u want to do is to download the files itself. put it on your c:\temp directory open your firefox. select file select file open point it to the extention that u saved in your c:\temp directory here is the link to the extensions of firefox http://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla.org/extensions for example if u want flashgot u would go here http://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla.org/extensions/flashgot/ and save this file to your c:\temp flashgot-0.5.0-fx+mz.xpi

first check your bios settings. if u don't know how to go into your bios, check your manual. in your bios there should be a setting for Adavance Power Management tinker with it. my friend who has a toshiba laptop had a similar problem. i fixed it for her but i can't remember what i did.

try googling for this software Advance WMA WorkShop it is fantastic in converting mp3, wav, wma does everything whichever way u want. cheers

bullet i don't think he can't get that far since his hard drives are not being detected anymore. so i don't think that would help him. i think u got confused when he said bootscreen. I think what he means is the Bios BootScreen and not Windows BootScreen. cypher2000 you best bet is to hit delete or f1 depending on your bios type find where it say to reset bios to default. save and reboot. now if that does not work unplug all the ribbons to the hard drives, reconnect make sure they are all connected properly. reboot if that does not work pull out the memory RAM plug it in to another slot. reboot if that does not work pull out all your PCI CARDS reseat them making sure they all plugged in well. reboot if that does not work you go to the final solution find his motherboard manual, look for bios jumpers. if he does not have a manual. u will hv to go to the net and look for the diagram of the motherboard. follow the instructions on the manual on how to RESET the bios. if that does not work... send it to greenland joke.

motherboard have it replaced. why not get a Asus board instead?

lost soul, i hv an idea... usually when u download trial version of screensavers and u apply the Legit serial. the SCR file itself is "changed". u can then just copy the scr in your windows system32 and copy to another pc and it wont ask for the serial. (pls make sure u r doing this legally) some screensavers have a "smart" check system... it checks back at its homepage to see if u are using a pirated serial. if it does, it will do very bad things to your screensaver file.
