bjp100679 ... are u using Adobe Acrobat Pro 6? <-- not the reader! if so, u might want to remvoe it ... sometimes these will 'hog' down the system ... i got it last time on Acrobat 6 ... didn't notice it on Acrobat 7 ... i removed Acrobat 7's add-in on my Microsoft Word because it's a know problem that causes Word's settings not to be saved on the global normal.dot template.

hi bashrat ... i thought it was fixed too ok, how do i know which DP Base was used to integrate the DPs? i found out that most of my DPs are v5.07 ... only DP Base that i wasn't sure ... on other note, once most of ur DPs has been updated, i'll recompile again to see if the KtD issue still happens on particular board or chipsets, or whatever that is ...

i'm not sure which DP BASE version; but i'm sure the version released after i alerted this KtD bug earlier i haven't tried 5.10.1 yet, as i'm waiting for your other DPs before re-compiling another CD ... i've wasted quite a lot previous

it's at the last stage of installation; the first login where the drivers being integrated ... most intel-chipsets boards are fine with KtD, i noticed that it happens particularly to SiS/VIA boards, although i'm not sure if it's the chipset causing the problem or the drivers ... my suspect is that the first unsigned inf will pop up the msg box IF the default driver has been installed earlier during installation ... i might be wrong though ...

the long delay is a know problem when reaching 150 CAT files ... seems that MS didn't expect this limit to be reached RyanVM's next update will only tackles the WU hotfixes, hence lower CAT file count, fast to install .. another way is to totally disable the SFC altogether, therefore the CAT is practically useless, but 'unsafe'.

Bashrat, i noticed that the KtD's option to ignore driver signing still doesn't always work ... i setup my winnt.sif -> [unattended] DriverSigningPolicy = "Ignore" ... but once a while on other boards, e.g. SiS or VIA chipsets, it will somehow show the alert; regardless of the winnt.sif and KtD enable with your custom EXE during INF integration at the first start of XP .... just to let you know now since you're back in action

yes, differnt chipset/controller has different HWIDs (hardware ids), so not to worry at all this is why these DriverPacks (DP) are invaluable to us because we could make this custom XP cd with all DPs available to accomodate most of the peripherals available
