  1. it's a bug from Adobe when you create AIP. Somehow, the wrong image inserted into the splash.dll (the embedded image is a PNG file stored within splash.dll. You can use Resource HAcker and extract it into PNG for confirmation). http://www.appdeploy.com/messageboards/fb.asp?m=62117 to "solve" this, install Acrobat 9 Pro Extended (from the CAB source). Go to the installed folder and copy out the splash.dll file. Next uninstall Acrobat 9 Pro Ext. In your AIP, go back to the Acrobat folder and replace the existing splash.dll with the one you copied earlier (via CAB installation). Do this *after* you have slipstreamed all the updates till 9.3.3. Also, the installer wont nag. Seems that it doesnt check the hash/filesize of this splash.dll.
  2. btw, is there a generic sequence of steps to follow? i'm at lost where to begin
  3. hi ilko_t, thx for the nice utility. looking from the gui (latest beta), there's no option to add *both* Vista and 7 sources to the USB? my plan is to add XP SP3, Vista SP2, and 7 (all 32-bit) into USB drive and lauch individual setup from it.
  4. hi guys, as u all know, there are tons of tutorials to create bootable *single* OS installation from USB thumbdrive. i am wondering, is there any solutions to create a "multi-OS" bootable installation from USB thumbdrive? that means, in a 16GB USB thumb drive, there are 3 separate OS setup locations (maybe separated by 3 diferent folders). when boot into the USB thumb drive, I'll be able to select (auto or manual; doesnt matter) which OS to setup. e.g. I setup XP SP2 first, then setup Vista SP2, and finally Windows 7 (all sources from the USB thumbdrive. Reason is that i wanted to create multi-OS setup on machines, and creating a multi-OS installer in USB thumb drive is more logical (but technically difficult). any help is appreciated! Thanks!
  5. sorry hessame, but can u reupload to multi-hosts server (e.g. http://www.kiloupload.com/)? thx!
  6. hi guys, i'm curious whether this can be achieved or if there's any apps/utils that can do this: i'm on Windows XP SP3 Pro. Have a wired broadband connection (PPPoE) and 3G HSDPA wireless broadband. Now, the jackpot question is this: How can i set a specific app to use a specific connection? e.g. MS Outlook using wired broadband. Browser using 3G wireless broadband. Is such arrangement possible? thanks!
  7. what is the full exact command that u use to create AIP and slipstream the MSP updates?
  8. are these the files only in the CD root? i guess u have Acrobat 3D? whatever it is, u can generate AIP to acro3d.msi too.
  9. from the Acrobat 9 setup, u need to generate an Administrative Installation Point (AIP) first. from AIP, then only apply the MSP updates via the commands above. 9.1.1 and 9.1.3 security updates are included in the quarterly updates.
  10. hi i have a question. i removed (vlite) some languages (Japanese, Korean, Simplified Chinese, and Traditional Chinese) from the source and successfully installed Win7 x86. Now, how do i reinstall back the removed languages back?
  11. Windows Live Messenger 2009 v14.0.8089.726 http://wl.dlservice.microsoft.com/download...wlsetup-all.exe Size: 134 MB (141,402,440 bytes)
  12. assuming that you have all the required silent installers, then you can just "chain" them into 7-Zip Self-Extracting Installer. http://www.msfn.org/board/index.php?showtopic=39048 http://www.msfn.org/board/index.php?showtopic=101552
  13. @gora/oleg, why is the English page n files not updated yet?
  14. strange. it works fine for me. changing the option to DOCX and vice versa works as expected when creating new document too.
  15. yes you can overwrite the *old* pst with your newer pst.
  16. go to Options | Save | Save file in format: *.docx or *xlsx or *.pptx (depend on the app)
  17. hi guys, i'm curious on the size difference (after compact) between the actual Outlook PST file vs the Folder Size (Properties | Folder Size...) Here's what bothers me: Actual PST size: 153 MB (160,769,024 bytes) (inside Outlook) PST Folder Size: 125,685 KB any ideas why the big difference (153 vs 125)?

  20. if u have Adobe Reader v8.1.3 (Full), then u can use it as a base by following Strel's method. you can ignore 8.1.4/8.1.5 updates because 8.1.6 covers the previous updates. as mentioned here (http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/498/cpsid_49880.html) it's recommended to do so due to the update category.
