  2. I just want to clarify that nobody here is glad that this is happening. I am disappointed that quality of life worsening for Americans since 2008. I want for Americans to have universal healthcare and raised minimum wage and better life. That just not happening, things going in opposite directions; for the first time in American history young generation live worst then they parents - this sucks. This is not the case anymore unfortunately. It was the case in 1980s, 1990s, until 2000s. In 2007 documentary "Sicko" guy doing stitches on his arm himself, cause he can not afford go to doctor - this is unthinkable in any civilized country, citizens perform minor surgeries on themselves because they can not afford go to doctor. I also recommend you to watch documentary from M. Moore "Where to invade next", where he compares standards of living in EU and USA. But even this documentary did not show story's that i constantly hear from USA: person get very ill with Insurance - got check on $200.000, how can you afford that where your month salary before taxes is $3000? People who work all they life well in they 50s, still have big credit on they college education. This is inhumane. It's not that you can not work hard, it's that you can word hard, act rational and still can end up bankrupt without medicine, without a place to live.

  3. TBH, updating New Moon 28 is as quick and easy as reverting to a previous version. So, there is really no reason to be afraid.

  4. Is the "covid generation" are those between 18-21? Weill, yeah, they are hurting the planet big time, I've now finally found a female I kinda like (about 6 points out of ten, but, alas, I don't have that huge leverage over the variants I had earlier, so I consider I'm lucky). And what? She produces at least thrice amounts of waste compared to the previous GF which was born in 1996. The new one uses at least twice more cosmetics, she throws away a lot of plastic stuff, and all of that I noticed after a couple of days living together. Now she says lots in my house needs to replaced!

  5. Now even 360Chrome 13.5 don't work with Cloudfare - it's just don't show small window with Cloudfare check. Several days ago it worked with 360Chrome, but now it doesn't. Seems like a total war on alternative browsers by Cloudfare. As usual everything done for ours "security". In XXI century on West almost all negative things done for "security" - it's one of the most hated words in English language for me.

  6. You wanna imply we should go to your Puritan state to rob you of your 300 bucks increase you hid under the mattress, lol? The percentage was needed to figure out was there a connection with the prices on climate introduced "taxes", as I actually agree with Tripredacus, they use climate as an excuse to jack up prices. Period.

  7. You just violated the rule by writing "Disagreements". You disclosed that I was not agree. I, on the other hand, only cited the public name of the discussion, and not private opinions. Please stop it and get back on topic.

  9. With what? The rule says I can't paste the message content! That's it. Where did I write "Disagreements"? And what you're referring to, was made public. A moderator, don't remember who at this time, wrote publicly, "stop the discussion".

  10. I was under the impression M. Moore was never a friend of America, is it the same anti-capitalist Moore? Then he doesn't understand the basics. American capitalism isn't the cause of the bad climate. It's on the contrary, they moved those dirty/polluting facilities out of the country!

  11. I asked whether it changed, not the actual figure, please don't make a show out of it. For example, here we had a slight price increase when those new "ecological" Euro norms were introduced. I don't need your super secrets, no need for a PM. Just say, did go up? If so, tell the percentage, thanks.

  14. The bad air doesn't come here, it's because of the wind direction. When I add moi location to the dating profile, I immediately get 1000000 bonus points. Try adding your town, see the reaction. And I thought the most polluted country was Russia. See what cars they use, they don't even enforce modern Euro norms. Oh, I know where I can drive my BMW R75. Visit Kursk region on my BMW R75? What do you think of this idea? I'd have to re-paint it to feldgrau then, it's currently in Afrika Korps colour, to match the sandy beaches.

  15. I live in a very special part of France, you can look up at my profile info. everything is cool here, fine and dandy. It's a magnet for 18 y.o. females, especially if add the noble D.Draker to the mix. The climate here is unique, and the city is under UNESCO. Under no circumstances show my profile to any of your seven daughters.

  17. @Cixert, I told you what HDD to buy, haven't I? With Toshiba and Suckgate you will always end up paying double, triple, not to mention the wasted time. Now for the recovery, it's always a must to connect those directly, but you will loose the warranty if dissemble the box.

  18. Most likely. I don't believe in such coincidence. Better use big USB Flash drive like 64 GB or 128 GB to transfer big chunks of information using USB. And maybe try WD HDD next time? Also HDD needed to be solidly fixed when it's working, otherwise it can malfunction fast.

  19. I don't know. It's depends also of what controller in that SSD, (A400 can have different controllers, depend of month and year of production) of what operation system installed - this information are not given to us by Cixert. If that SSD was all years misaligned and run on non TRIM OS like Vista, or XP, or 2000, then it's numbers maybe ridiculously low. But if internal technology of idle state garbage collection is active there, the penalty might be not so big at all. Well i hope you will give us screenshots of AS SSD. I want to see screenshots.

  20. Welcome to MSFN and my thread! Thank you very much for your nice compliment! I will continue when I have more time available. Researching, checking, and writing is very time-consuming, unfortunately. Greetings from Germany to Belgium, AstroSkipper

  21. Hello @winvispixp! This is very important. My thread about security programmes is targeting Windows XP only. You can see that easily in the headline of this thread, in my first, introducing post, and once again here: Apart from that, we are here in the Windows XP forum. Kind regards, AstroSkipper

  22. Hello @Cixert! I have been wondering for a long time that no one here mentions or recommends this program. So my compliments to you. I have been using SUPERAntiSpyware since 2007, starting with version 3. The last compatible version with Windows 98 and ME was 4.24.1004. Since 2011, I have been in possession of a lifetime licence and have been using it in the Professional Edition ever since. And you are absolutely right, SUPERAntiSpyware Professional has been XP-compatible for years and actually runs without problems. According to the fact that an automatic update from the version 10.0.1250 to 10.0.1252 isn't offered anymore in my system and according to their FAQ, SUPERAntiSpyware Professional doesn't seem to support Windows XP anymore. Therefore, SUPERAntiSpyware Professional X Edition 10.0.1250 seems to be the last XP/Vista-compatible version. That's probably why you observed an issue under the option System Tools. In the version 10.0.1250, there is no problem with this option. Here are two screenshots of SUPERAntiSpyware Professional X 10.0.1250 showing the main interface and the working option System Tools: However, the Free Edition and Technicians Edition are supposed to be still compatible with Windows XP and Vista. Anyway! SUPERAntiSpyware has been on my list for a long time. And an article about it will come soon. But again, thanks for your recommendation! Good job! Greetings, AstroSkipper

  23. Yep! A firewall for an old OS does not necessarily need updates or to be more recent. As long as it works, it is an option for users of Windows XP or Vista. That's why I listed PC Tools Firewall Plus here. And Privatefirewall is already on my internal list, too. However, thanks for mentioning it!

  24. First of all, thanks for sharing your knowledge! And, of course, no one can be an expert in all matters.

  25. I think that there are indeed programs whose age plays a subordinate role. My firewall in Windows XP is now 7 years old, and I would not exchange it for any other program. Firewalls for Windows XP in particular don't necessarily have to be up to date as long as they can still control data traffic correctly in these days. That is one of the reasons why I also list such old firewalls as Look 'n' Stop Firewall here. And of course, the Comodo Firewall definitely belongs here, too. And sometimes, the following rule can be applied: old OS, old program. That's what it was made for.

  26. No, you are wrong, unfortunately. You can leave the native Windows XP firewall enabled, but Windows 10 Firewall Control (Plus) XP is a standalone. All data traffic, both incoming and outgoing, is perfectly controlled. You can define your own zones and rules. Many zones and rules are already pre-defined. You have full control at all times and can see exactly which program wants to connect, only if you allow it, of course, and again, in both directions. I use it for many years, and Windows 10 Firewall Control Plus XP never failed.

  27. In my first post, I already explained that. The last working firewalls will be listed here, of course. A firewall does not need necessarily updates if it still works properly in Windows XP. I know Outpost Firewall very well, I used it long time ago. Therefore, it is on my internal list of security programs. However, I must mention here that I have already presented the by far best firewall for Windows XP, and, compared to all the usual suspects, this is definitely Windows 10 Firewall Control Plus XP from Sphinx: Cheers, AstroSkipper
