  1. i had some odd problems with NT 4.0 and trying to get certain programs to install / run ( one reason why i lost interest in working with NT 4.0, other than being more complicated work with in general ). i tried asking about them on the forums, but no one was able to help with a solution, and google, we'll i tried but couldn't find a solution. specifically when trying to install odyssey client 4.56 ( i think ) or a version of wsc guard, and it would complain about not having permissions to install or something. i also remember having the same or similar problem when trying to install some amd / ati catalyst package that had a NT 4.0 driver, but wouldn't wan't to install due to having some kind of restriction / permission problem, regardless of whether i tried manually installing the driver or not. it sucks, because it doesn't seem like the programs themselves were unsupported, but some setting or problem in NT 4.0 wouldn't allow them to fully install, etc. i was never able to find a solution for any of this. i don't know if NT 4.0 supports any WPA2 wireless adapters. maybe if we were to assume middle ground, then wsc guard 4.0 with wpa / aes support would be ok, being able to connect if the router supports WPA and / or WPA2? if anyone knows exactly how this works, please correct me if i'm wrong on any of this. i do remember getting wifi working on NT 4.0 for i think the dell latitude d600 which seems to have near or full support for NT 4.0, but i don't remember exactly which wifi card i was using and / or wireless settings. it might have been some atheros card?

  2. Yeah just tested just now and it seems to work but don't know if replacing those files with the previous ones will have a negative effect on the operation of the windows system. If people try it, best backup the files in case it causes issues for them and if it does, then restore the files back again or remove the Windows 10 18363.752 update till new version of Aero Glass is released.

  3. Let me guess, you replace dwmcore.dll/uDWM.dll with the ones from previous build?

  5. Something in Windows 18363.778 has caused Aeroglass to break. It is being discussed later in this thread.

  6. I agree. Without OldNewExplorere, StartIsBack and Winaero Tweaker Windows 10 is so ugly.

  7. The comdlgex patch corrects a specific problem of some applications requiring a newer, slightly different print dialog than included with W98. The two dialogs are so similar that more or less the data to fill in the dialog fields just needed to be rearranged a bit. The patch fixes the problem of the newer dialog not being recognized on W98 and reformats the data for the old dialog and calls the old dialog instead. This was the problem with Sumatra, I don't think that FF has that problem, [but I could be wrong], I always get a print dialog from FF even before this patch - unfortunately, I don't get much more than that. But that's all that was fixed here, the dialog not popping up. Programs that call the old W98 dialog don't need this patch and won't benefit from it. Programs that failed to show a print dialog will be helped along by this patch. Before the patch was created, KernelEx would stop the error of the new print dialog function not being found, but it didn't show any dialog. It allowed the application to still load and not crash when Print... was selected but didn' t allow printing to occur. Programs that could put up a print dialog won't be helped by this patch. If someone with a little more knowledge of this would care to commnet in case I got it wrong....So yeah the title of the thread includes FF, but the solution on here is only for Sumatra afaik. Hope this helps and clears things up a bit. If someone knows of another application that is actually print enabled by this patch ( or you really got it to fix FF) let us know !!

  8. SumatraPDF uses tabbed Property Sheets to provide the "Advanced" tab. The Windows 98 PrintDlg Function does not support Property Sheets. It only supports alternative Dialog Boxes. A much more substantial Patch would be required to add this support.
