Yes, you are right. There are no problems with Python 3.7.1, it's all about the "cryptography-2.5" module and newer ones. But I also don't see any problems with psapi.dll or mpr.dll, only with bcrypt.dll. Nevertheless, the problem with the new versions of "cryptography" and Python crashes would be interesting to solve. Yes, thanks to your hint I tried to replace jp2lancher.exe, this time from 201 version, and -- Alas! It worked! Don't know why jp2lancher.exe 152 doesn't work for me yet 201 does, but anyway problem seems solved (It should not be a problem for me because I don't use jnlp at all, but I am a little compulsive perfectionist.). Seems I could safely dump 152 version. Uploaded jp2laucher 201 below. jp2launcher.exe

Well, your case is border line with the XYZ problem (or the chocolate covered banana ), it happens very often, and to many people don't worry , JFYI it is "coded": https://jdebp.eu/FGA/put-down-the-chocolate-covered-banana.html In this case the original tool did make what was expected but due to a number of other complications the given alternatives ar simply "better", jaclaz

assuming the OP in that thread has a PC with an SSE2 capable processor; Office 2013 also requires an CPU with SSE2 support and does not run on non-SSE2 processors also need to install any .NET Framework 4.x version between 4.0 and 4.6 on Vista
