  3. That is the source of problem with original driver. You have to connect your CD-ROM exactly to SATA ports 0-3 (ATA channels 0-1) that only can work in Legacy Mode on this chipset. And on SATA controller and PATA device it is possible too with help of the PATA-SATA converter, but not on addidional PATA controller port on the motherboard as it works in PCI Native Mode always.

  4. Nice, maybe try xdvd2.sys too (newer). 2018-16-12 version: https://web.archive.org/web/20181020053006/http://optimizr.dyndns.org/dos/drivers.html Oeps, link is 2018-10 now, will make no difference in case of xdvd2.sys

  5. And again, thank you so much for all this information and for your new download link! Recompiling cryptography 3.4.8 with new OpenSSL3.0.5 would be great, of course. The more recent the better, especially in the regards of ciphers and security protocols. What does your new archive contain? Maybe, I am a bit confused. Did you already recompile it? I am writing here on my Android tablet, I have to start my desktop computer, obviously, to check what you have done and what the new archive is about.

  6. If you need assistance, don't hesitate to ask me. The proxy ProxyMII is not as complicated as it seems to be. And it definitely works.

  7. I'm not sure. Sorry, it was A LOT time ago. I'd preffered to enable weak ciphers for use with IE5 in Win98... In my test of ProxyMII, I could see that TLS 1.0 and 1.1 protocol was disabled. Take a look at my screenshots some posts above! Presumably, due to security reasons. And that's fine with me. It was just a question for the reasons. Kind regards, AstroSkipper

  8. Hi @Tripredacus, thanks a lot for your recommendation to change the title of this thread for being more specific! The person I was looking for has been found. And, maybe, it is also your merit. Therefore, thanks again! Kindest regards, AstroSkipper

  9. I hadn't had much hope that this would happen. But, from now on, we definitely have a proxy with TLS 1.3 protocol support targeting Windows XP. More details can be found in my thread: I'll keep you informed. Cheers, AstroSkipper

  10. Thanks a lot for the further information and for your reply! Your proxy ProxyMII is definitely great, and, after testing 3proxy, I'll decide which of your proxies I'll implement in my ProxHTTPSProxy's PopMenu for more convenient use, with your permission and with credits to you, of course. But, anyway, your proxy or maybe, your proxies will future-proof Windows XP in any case. And once again, many thanks for that! Cheers, AstroSkipper

  11. Since when is the browser Brave compatible with Windows XP? AFAIK, the developer have neither supported this OS nor they'll do that in future times.

  12. The modded driver works on Vista x86 and the older gen card (900 series) without issues. My trick with packing the dll in a usual zip folder worked like a charm. But talking about x86 and the original kernel would be off-topic here, so I'm just informing of my partial success and hoping someone would continue my work. It's getting really hot here and my damaged brain is literally melting , even with AC always on , so I'm taking a break.

  13. Dave , did you try to change the IP? All of my problems usually go away if I switch to another IP from a certain country that instagram loves. Some time ago I created a topic with the solution. https://msfn.org/board/topic/183282-instagram-communist-coutries-are-in-favour-help-to-get-clean-ranges-of-communist-ips/?do=findComment&comment=1211198

  14. You're joking , right ? Please define "proffesional". Instagram has always had terribly compressed pictures and videos, like from the early 2000s. 156kb jpeg photo in 2022 , lol . Or 720p mp4 ? Wow . We are stunned. Even Twitter doesn't compress the media that much.
