  1. I did just discover that the paypal slide mouse screen in my older version of Serpent is DEPENDENT UPON the ISP that I use. I canceled my previous ISP but it remains active until the end of my billing cycle (I only have two more days) - I get no slide mouse screen in Serpent when connected via my previous ISP (cable). I *DO* get the slide mouse in Serpent (unsolvable - checkbox turns green but page does NOT advance) in Serpent when connected via my new ISP (fiber optic).

  2. Ok, you have HTTPSProxy running all the time. Therefore you can try to enable option Automatically detect settings in LAN settings of Internet Options to ensure that WUA can find your proxy automatically. Run as administrator the command wuauclt /detectnow to check the connection with the Windows Update server. If wuauclt.exe succeeds, Event ID 30 is added in Event Viewer.

  3. @Dave-H Just for you I'll change my automatic updates setting to "Notify me but don't automatically dowload or install them" and report what will happen and if such entries will appear in my event log. You know we've made our systems a bit comparable.

  4. One thing is clear. The mentioned updates are for Windows XP Embedded and definitely not for Server 2003. So that won't work. and truth be told a bit off-topic.

  5. I disabled automatic updates a long time ago. I thought this app would use IE engine to check for updates. So actually you had to keep HTTPSProxy running generally. I think you don't really want to do that. Therefore disable automatic updates! Unfortunately there will be no more updates in future. But since restoring MU you can check manually for updates at any time.

  6. Microsoft had changed a lot in the past. Maybe they had switched back to old ciphers in this short time in Dezember.

  7. Due to the fact that in Windows XP (and 2000 too) you can only use IE or IE engine to access to MU and the ciphers of IE are outdated you have to use ProxHTTPSProxy or HTTPSProxy to add modern, more recent ciphers to IE or IE engine. Therefore is the answer from my point of view: No!

  8. You're welcome! Did you add HTTPSProxy and ProxHTTPSProxy to MalwareBytes' exclusions list? I have excluded them in Avast.

  9. @Dave-H Great! I'm glad your system has got back all features you wanted to have.

  10. New year is coming. Happy 2022! A little guess about the shape of things to come. 1) Omicoof breaks the narrative, but its "escape" will be blamed on the "unvaccinated." It will be allowed to spread wildly and cause lots of disruptions (schools, flights, work, etc.). All of this disruption due to lots of people getting sick all at once will be blamed on the "unvaccinated," even though case loads, etc., will be worse in the vaccinated. This data will all be made foggy, hidden, disrupted, and misreported, of course. The scapegoat must remain. The goal of this uncontrolled omicoof disruption will be more blame upon the "blameworthy" while offering the Regime and its mouthpieces an exit ramp ("The Science changed because the 'unvaccinated' screwed up"). They'll still push "vaccines" in this time even though it's nonsensical, but this will all be in preparation for Phase 2. 2) "Cyber pandemic," massive disruptive cyber attacks interrupting LOTS of stuff, far more disruptive than coof. They've telegraphed this for over a year. Believe it or not, it will kind of be the "unvaccinated" who are blamed for this Cyber Pandemic, but the shift will be from the "unvaccinated" to the "digitally anonymous," who are predominantly "unvaccinated" because they refused to get coof Digital ID "passports." We'll see a massive shift in narrative and scapegoating from the "unvaccinated" to the "digitally anonymous" (or something equivalent), these will be linked to make a scapegoating bridge (like "deplorable" to "unvaccinated"), and a new, hard scapegoating campaign will commence. The goal is always to get to fully controllable Digital ID. It will be racist, sexist, misogynistic, threat to public health, threat to cybersecurity, etc., to refuse a Digital ID, and it will be a full-court press against the "digitally anonymous." That's my best guess for the adventure we face in the first half of 2022, at least so far, reading the entrails the Regime keeps putting out. Make no mistake and take heart, though. They have plans, but they didn't expect to lose this hard this fast. Keep fighting! Author : James Lindsay

  14. I strongly suggest to NOT use LED monitors . Get an old CCFL one. As for the LED lamps , also not good , but if you can't avid them , do not use cheap ones and get 2700K max. As for the eye , seeing a doctor is not an option ?

  15. 31st of December 2020 - works cool (even with disabled remote fonts), 1st of January 2021 - all hell breaks loose . It has nothing to do with the operating system. It's the new java , scripts and remote fonts. I'm glad it is working for the creator himself though. I've been away for some time , now logged in and everything works again , except the odd squares in the menus.

  16. The website is completely broken for me . Any pop-up menu is not working , even sign-in . I can't edit posts , I can't select options in the messenger . Everything worked fine right until the recent changes. Clear cache and reboot PC is not helping ( surpise xD ) . I'm on Chrome 88 and Vista.

  18. After switching the famous "superfetch" off it was fantastic , fast , but not as fast as on Siemens , I think because Siemens used more advanced German HDDs , I even think they still in production labeled Fujitsu, yes. I mean Fujitsu HDDs , not some other 3rd party brands . I also think you should add Sony , they were good and also used Fujitsu HDDs (at least some of them) , they were expensive , I agree .

  19. I have nothing against Dell , I had a Dell Vostro laptop with Vista x86 (sorry , don't remember the exact specs, it was in 2008 . Intel CPU (something Core Duo , 4GB RAM DDR2 , 250GB HDD) , But everything inside was NOT made by Dell . Also, I had several Dell monitors and not sure if Dell even made the enclosure . The main parts had Samsung label on them . I think you should definitely add Siemens to your list. The majority of Vista PCs in Europe were Siemens , most of them Made in Germany , using German technology and their own design and layout (unlike HP and many others). Their motherboards were also developed in Germany. It's so sad it's in the past , though I've read the Siemens PCs became just "Fujitsu" and still being produced in Germany from a high quality parts , I can't comment on this because I've never had them.

  20. I think so , yes. People need to be polite and read the rules , as far as I can see , the one who started the topic is responsible to keep the right content.
