  4. @Dave-H Here two screenshots how HTTPSProxy has to look if it is switched on: https://imgur.com/UhVxB46 https://imgur.com/t1dtyPZ Does it look like that?

  6. @Dave-H Here are my advanced IE settings. Please check! https://imgur.com/83qHpbd And check if HTTPSProxy and IE are not blocked by Malwarebytes Premium and your firewall. Make exclusions or better disable them temporarily when accessing MU. By the way which firewall do you use? Built-in or a firewall software? My security combination is Avast Premier and Windows 10 Firewall Control XP. The firewall feature in Avast is not installed. Web protection temporarily disabled. Malwarebytes Premium for Windows 3.5.1.2522 (official last version for XP) didn't work properly in my system (very buggy!) so I went back to Malwarebytes Anti-Malware 2.2.1.1043 for on demand scan which works fine.

  7. 31st of December 2020 - works cool (even with disabled remote fonts), 1st of January 2021 - all hell breaks loose . It has nothing to do with the operating system. It's the new java , scripts and remote fonts. I'm glad it is working for the creator himself though. I've been away for some time , now logged in and everything works again , except the odd squares in the menus.

  9. Removing telemetry is just a couple of seconds . Modding the driver is not easy , I guess . We are better off with 7/9 series , btw I noticed modded 372 files in the folder, what are they for ? Win32 began experimenting ?

  10. Thanks for the suggestion , @XPerceniol. But there's no way I'm allowing any remote fonts. And even if I do , it won't help with the not working pop-up menus. And I'm really sorry for users who prefer (at least some privacy) on older OS and esp. users with old browsers . Good luck with the new changes.

  11. Went down to Opera 42 , nothing works , now without any errors , just won't start at all . Someone here using Opera ? Oh. and Chromium ungoogled 84 , 85 , 86 won't launch at all too , those files din't help ... Someone here using Chromium ungoogled ? I can't stand Firefox (just my preference, sorry). It's not that I'm a fan of chrome , just chose between the two evils. Thanks

  12. Hi , 1 - the “manual update” I did from these official links supplied by MS. http://ctldl.windowsupdate.com/msdownload/update/v3/static/trustedr/en/authrootstl.cab http://ctldl.windowsupdate.com/msdownload/update/v3/static/trustedr/en/disallowedcertstl.cab It added some , but too few. And, yes , I also did the update from the post you linked a long time ago. It helped a bit , yet “the browser” still asks for more certificates . 2 - “the browser” is 36O Explorer with manually removed telemetry from the original (yes, I do not trust patches and russian repacks). It is based on Chromium 86 with TLS 1.3 and works fine with Vista , much faster than Chromium 86 on Win7. Also, I manually blocked almost all tracking features like "safebrowsing" and a ton of various IPs.
