It takes time to add those back. So far, only a couple of China forks (Cent, for example) still maintain V2, Supermium, also. When asked on the forum, the Chinese developer wrote he will go on with V2 until he's exhausted to revert the changes, and then moves to V3. So, time's not on our side.3 points

Then, you did something wrong. Check all steps again! All files have to be copied into the correct folders. And check if all modified prefs have been assigned to the correct values via about:config! Don't forget to delete the startup cache in the profile folder before you restart your browser! You have to start Mypal 68 with the profile where the chrome folder was created, of course. One thing is clear. All was tested in depth and is working. And my CSS code, too. BTW, re-posting what I wrote in my instructions is not helpful. I definitely know what I did. You should better post what you exactly did. And provide screenshots of all relevant folders' content and your userchrome.css! This is the only way I can help you.2 points

Just a friendly advice, the same I gave you before, you better edit the post and remove the "plotilitians" word (misspeled on purpose) to avoid reports, it doen't offend me or my dad from the same gen., but a user whose name starts with "m" miha89O7 might report you again because he reports everything that even slightly suggests anything political, be cautious, I read you already got a warning,2 points

You can also use the tool called autoruns. There you can easy find the startup entries and services in one place.1 point

Ok. I was able to improve a bit my custom button for calling up the "Manage Cookies and Site Data" window. Both, the about:preferences#privacy and three seconds later the desired dialogue are now loaded in the same chrome window which avoids an additional loading of a tab. Nevertheless, I hope that there is a better solution yet. As custom buttons are actually the topic of this thread, I have decided to post about this stuff here again. My project of creating a custom button to directly call up the "Manage Cookies and Site Data" dialogue in Mypal 68 seems to have come to a temporary end. It works perfectly. I have solved the issues encountered in my own way and I am currently in testing mode. Here is a short preview:1 point

What good this "advice" could be if you never give what to study on? That dubious method with the cipher changes you took from the JA4 developer article (I linked to, it's a public, non-secret, common knowledge). So, I don't see anything to "study on" from you, again. Please stop with the patronising, useless posts and show us something useful, finally. Thanks. (as of now, for nothing).1 point

Personally, I would tend to agree to this: Mypal 68 ≈ Firefox (≥ 68). In many ways, Mypal 68 behaves like a normal Firefox browser, but not in all. The JavaScript engine, for example, is comparable to that of higher versions. Mypal 68 is a Quantum browser, which has made it quite difficult to enable the use of UC.JS scripts, for example. The download package MYPAL_68_CB_requirements.7z from my first post is not available anywhere. It is very specific, and stops working in Firefox 72+ due to some code changes. I put together the configuration files myself to make it really work. In higher Firefox versions, the script functionality seems to be much easier to activate. BTW, one file of my package spits out an error in the Browser Console, which I fixed in the meanwhile.1 point

Best Windows 10 x64 version for Make_WinPE is given in Manual VHD Compact PDF on page 3 Download ISO: Win10_2004_English_x64.iso1 point

PE WIM files are Not meant to be installed in VHD and it is normal that WinNTSetup refuses to Install PE_*.wim files. The normal way of booting PE WIM files is by loading the PE_*.wim file into RAMDISK and then booting with Windows PE. In Make_WinPE you can Select the Boot Drive and the WinPE Drive and then an entry is made in your BootManager Menu. Booting from Internal SSD Harddisk Or from USB portable SSD with your PE_*.wim file are both supported. Also UEFI_MULTI portable app can be used to make Windows BootManager Menu entries for your PE*.wim files. The main purpose of booting with PE_*.wim from RAMDISK is to be in environment where you can use WinNTSetup to Install Win 10 / 11 x64 wim files on your internal SSD harddisk partition or in VHD located on NTFS partition. I only tested such an extension for the UXP browsers called MTube. But I didn't like it. The extension uTube was and is much better. At the moment, I am totally fine with the VORAPIS V3 extension for Mypal 68.1 point

Maybe, Chromium-based browsers don't have the same "issues" with YouTube playback. However, these browsers play YouTube videos much worse than the Mozilla-based ones under Windows XP on my machine. Thorium and 360Chrome are browser which play YouTube videos at worst on my old Windows XP computer.1 point

Thanks for the hint! The YouTube interface of VORAPIS V3 is very responsive and lightweight, though. The complete YouTube page with the demanded video, playlist and comments is loaded very fast, even on my old machine. Only some seconds. The original, non-manipulated, junk interface is almost unusable on my computer.1 point

@Tomcat76, @GH0st Yeah, I got the same problems!! My computer specs are Intel Pentium Northwood 2.80 GHz CPU (single core, 32 Bit), 1.5 GB SD-RAM and a NVIDIA GeForce 6200 graphic card, so much, much, much weaker than yours. I found a solution to get back the old 2013 layout of YouTube which is very resource-saving, loads quickly and revives the old YouTube feeling. The solution is VORAPIS V3. I use the most recent development build of the extension in Mypal 68 from this link https://vorapis.pages.dev/#/home/download instead of the version from the Mozilla page https://addons.mozilla.org/de/firefox/addon/v3-get-old-youtube-layout/. Now, I can finally access videos on the YouTube page in Mypal 68.14.4b again and watch them in 360p quality on my very old machine. This is a screenshot of the classic YouTube interface restored by VORAPIS V3 when a video is played in Mypal 68.14.4b:: In general, the quality 360p is all that is possible with my old hardware to watch videos fluently in browsers. The YouTube tab consumes round about 170 MB. I think that is less for the crappy YouTube. On your computers, Mypal 68.14.4b should actually play videos easily in much higher quality than 360p. If not, then your current configurations don't seem to be done properly.1 point

HideTabbarWithOneTab In my download archive, I found an old but still working UC.JS script called HideTabbarWithOneTab.uc.js. This script hides the tab bar including the Open a new tab button, if only one tab is open, and shows it again, if a further tab is loaded. According to its author the script is based on the extension of the same name. Since Firefox 23, the tab bar can no longer be hidden if only one tab is open. This script solves this problem. In contrast to many pure CSS implementations as recently discussed in another thread starting from this post, it works perfectly in Mypal 68. The HideTabbarWithOneTab.uc.js file has to be copied in the Mypal's profile subfolder chrome. It has been tested by me and is fully working. Here is a short animated GIF file to show the script in action: Requirements: The package MYPAL_68_CB_requirements.7z from the first post of this thread. No. Unfortunately, this code is not effective. It does totally unnecessary things. Look at my posted screenshots! My code is working as it should. Furthermore, you didn't provide any information what you did. Thus, I can't help you.1 point

Of course not! They both check my profile every second. BTW, that post is 0.0000000001% of what you didn't see, before it got deleted after an MSFN member discovered that nest. I mean the amount of dirt they put on MSFN members before the deletion of their was simply jaw-breaking! It needs to stop.1 point

OMG! It could be the reason msfntor is no longer with us, the troll simply drove that poor French grandpa off the cliff. Could be numerous complaints to Dave, I don't know. But I remember msfntor was aged, fragile and too kind to protect himself. Maybe with mental problems, also. Poor msfntor! He was a kind, overly kind fellow, and I think he was very, extremely kind towards the troll, especially.1 point

For the clarification, it's not my post, but the troll's, on another hostile forum, where they put dirt on MSFN members. EDIT: @Milkinis hit reply to me by accident.1 point

Kid, when someone says he wants to report a child (who is obviosly without its parents observation) to child services, it's NOT *threatening *, it's called caring and protection of underaged children against the dangers of overposting in the internet. Also, it means you have to study more, since you still don't understand the meaning of English words, even after 13 years of studying it. Will you leave me alone, finally?1 point
-
Please stop stalking me and stop replying to my posts, otherwise I may have to report you to the moderators and to the underaged child care services in your country, possibly even police, because those who are under 21 must get a special written permission from the parents to access the internet and make posts, according to your country's laws for underaged children.1 point

I agree to this. The pronoun "you" should be better used according to its nature as the second-person pronoun. In the English language, there already exists a collective pronoun "one" to prevent misunderstandings. Personally, I always try to express myself as clearly as possible. And there is a big difference between using "you" in the written language and the spoken language. Non-verbal communication cannot be used in written language.1 point

My mind is at odds with my age. My body has not been what it used to be for a long time. I give an upvote for the maturing of the spirit, but a downvote for the maturing of the body. And waiting for death doesn't really make sense, because the black bird comes all by itself. Instead, delight us with your excellent analyses and your knowledge of the code.1 point

That is what I like and agree, I prefer when I'm not overcrowded, and always choose my partners in everything, be it one-night-stands or friendship. Unfortunately, it was not always the case in my military days, until I got an officer rank, at least. So I kinda learned how to find something in common to talk about, until the mission is over, maybe try it? The most important part, don't waste your energy on them.1 point
